... this is the type of game the Saints would've lost the past 2 years.
The Buffalo defense shuts down Drew Brees, and the Saints run the ball, and end up scoring 27 points.

Officiating was as horrible as I thought it was going to be, yet the Saints overcame..

And the defense!! 0 points allowed!!! 0! Nada!! Nil!

And Pierre Thomas again shows he is no Matt Forte!!!

And I get $50 from a co-worker who's a Bills fan!!

Life's good. Bring on the Jets!

Pierre Thomas and the Defense gets the game ball. That was a great defensive game by both teams. Grant and Smith actually got sacks lol.

I don't know if I'm going to eat the cheese just yet, but this game showed me something. It was SUPER windy up there all day (best evidence is having to have a holder on every kickoff). That makes throwing the ball a very difficult proposition. Going into this game, the Bills had the best rushing defense in the NFL. The environment, and playing at home - there's no way it could have worked out better for them. And yet.... the Saints found a way to win playing ball in a way they are not accustomed to playing. Better, they won with a nice margin.

You're right, TR. In days gone by, the Saints would have lost this game. Today they did what great teams do.

You know what's better than that point differential? Pitts commented that the Saints have out-scored opponents 38-2 in the 4th quarter, and those 2 points, the Saints gave up on a strategic safety. That means the Saints defense has not allowed any points in the 4th quarter in 3 freaking straight games!!

Awesome. Have the Saints ever dominated like this, so consistently, throughout preseason and the first 3 games. Not in my memory. Still, I'm hesistant to drink the Kool-Aid. I can remember the Saints, Tulane, and LSU all at 4-0, all at the same time - only to have a lousy year. The Jets are no pushover, Sanchez is the real deal.

Still, I believe. I think this is the year. If only JoeSam were here to see it.

Was I the only one that though the officiating in the Bills game was really inconsistent? I was screaming at the TV at times, scratching my head at others.

Just think of the anticipation leading up the Jets game! This has the makings of a great game. A huge, noisy crowd in the Dome, and 2 good undefeated teams. We're going to see December football in early October! And,,, we're on our home turf, where we can turn it into a track meet or run it.

What a joy to see us win a tough tight game down to the last few minutes. Showed me a lot about our players heart this year. There are always going to be these types of games and normally this is where we would lose it. Those guys did not throw in the towel or choke like in the past. Gives me a lot more confidence that even if we lose some close ones it will not be due to a lack of effort. Kudos to all the defense that overcame a team primed to upset us.

That 2nd PF for the late QB hit, I think it was on Hargrove, I was screaming BS for about 5 minutes straight. Such a joke call. Edwards hadn't even it the ground yet, let alone a late hit.

I was watching ESPN after the game and Sportscenter had no love for the Saints. Chris Beerman mentioned 10 elite teams which did not include the Saints. What a loser. ESPN sucks. I hope we go undefeated and win the damn superbowl and show all of those losers. They always want a big city team to win it all just for the ratings it's not about the football to those crapheads.

Chris Boozeman picked the Bills to beat the Saints 27-26, so I'm guessing that the Salami is having some buyer's remorse.

I'm sure he's also too busy admiring his Brett Farve Fathead on the wall in his basement to actually pay attention to the rest of the NFL.

you know what? i hope espn, nbc, cbs, nfl network, ALL, keep us under the radar. the less they talk about us the better. that way, all the team needs to focus on, is winning games. i think, that this was my favorite game of the season so far. great running, great defense, and great team chemistry. im just trying not to get to far ahead in my hopes for this season. one game at a time, one game at a time....
