Besides, acknowledging the jinx is a jinx in and of itself.

No one is a shoe in to the SB. All you can say is a team looks to be a Playoff team. What they do in the playoffs is anyone's guess. We look to be a playoff team, but what seed and will we win the division is yet to be seen.

I hate the falcons but don't write them off because they lost to the Pats in foxboro.

Well, I hate to be the one to "pee in the punchbowl" here, but last time I checked, we haven't played one divisional game yet. Which means the term "premature predictulation", is most definately in effect here. We got a LONG way to go folks. Don't let it go to your head just yet. One game at a time... i want to share a story with u guys from this past weekend. i showed up at the sports bar for the saints game, just in time to see the last four minutes of the niners vs vikes game. the vikings had the ball, and the niners defense held... there was a minute and a half left on the clock, and the vikes had all 3 timeouts left. but after the stop, EVERY niner fan in the bar, which was about 40 people, started celebrating, and talking trash to the viking fans. i stepped up and advised them to not start celebrating too soon. they didnt listen, and well, im sure u all seen what happened. alot can happen in 90 seconds in the NFL. even MORE can happen in the 13 games. im all for enthusiasm, and excitement.., and honestly u can all do whatever u want anyway... i just feel its better to wait until it happens, before u celebrate.. that way theres no let down, and u dont look like a jackass, if it doesnt happen. just my ten cents.

Sorry, it doesn't matter if I get enthusiastic and excited, it feels no different to me after a loss. Being "cautious" doesn't help it one single bit.

No, you are not. You are for not being enthusiastic and excited at all.

What do you do when you go on a roller coaster? Do you close your eyes and hold real tight and worry that whatever you are strapped onto may derail and come out flying and kill you, and wait until you are back safely on the ground to enjoy the ride? Or do want to sit up front and you let go of the grips and raise your hands and enjoy every G the roller coaster pulls?

And its one thing to talk trash and taunt people before the game is over and
Brett Favre can throw a last second touchdown pass. I'm not taunting anyone, or talking crap, I just believe in this team, even though we aint played nobody yet.

I'll exercise control for ya, JP, and not say the S word, but all I gotta say is
get some rest because its gonna be a short week between the S and Mardi Gras. One celebration to the other.

actually, i have had inner ear problems since i was a kid, so im not much for roller coasters. i am not thinking about the superbowl, because im having fun watching, and winning each game at a time. thats why i love football, having patience and having a good time with my friends on sunday rooting for my team. im NOT saying i go into games thinking we are going to lose. i am saying that appreciating one game, and one win at a time, is more fullfilling TO ME. as i said do whatever u want, thats ur perogative. in fact, i think u guys should go ahead and start booking ur flights to the superbowl, and buy ur tickets. u are saying that we are going, so why not go ahead and get ur plans made? myself, i will have to wait til january. but, as i said, im not like u guys. i look forward to reading ur posts in the next few weeks, as to how ur south florida plans are going. :-)
