NY Jets cornerbacks Lito Sheppard, Donald Strickland wi
The Jets will be without a pair of starting cornerbacks again this week. Lito Sheppard (quad) and Donald Strickland (ankle) are officially out for this weekend’s showdown against the New Orleans Saints.
Sheppard said he’s been running every day this week on his strained quad. Neither has practiced for two weeks. Jets coach Rex Ryan admitted the team came close to signing a cornerback this week. The Jets worked out veterans Corey Ivy and Justin Miller last week. "We thought about it," Ryan said after Friday's practice. "We definitely thought about it, but we like our plan going forward with our guys. We do have four safeties, so we can move guys around if we need to." Strickland, who revealed that he has a high ankle sprain, said he expects to play in Week 5. "I've (made) a lot of progress," Strickland said. "It was a high ankle sprain. I thought it was just a regular ankle sprain. So it took a little more time to get back to full speed. Things are looking bright for next week." |

I thought Revis was one of the Starters?

Revis didn't cover Andre Johnson on his lonesome; the Safety was there as well and the Texans had no other legit receivers... What this is is a a Shockey and Bush difference maker game... "Paging Doctors Shockey and Bush; multiple deliveries are due in the endzone..." We sure are seeing alot of the New York Market... |
