Side note: What's with the failed 2-pt convs?

I know it's only pre-season and there are much bigger concerns right now -- a pittiful pass rush, way too many istances of blown coverages, lack of a proven back-up RB, a highly paid QB that still seems to be way too nonchalant when he screws up passes, too many stupid penalties and sputtering drives, just to mention a few -- but I hope we are not going see a repeat of last season's penchant to go for (and usually fail to convert) two-point conversions.

I'm all for running up the score every chance we get, but the SAINTS have just not shown that they can come anywhere close to converting anywhere close to half of those 2-pt. tries. They all to often seem to come back to bite us in the ass later when we REALLY need the points.

If Haz wants to play the gambler, I beleive I would much rather see plays that have the potential for a bigger payoff. I say try to catch our opponents off guard from time to time with a fake field goal, fake punt or an onsides kick early in the game. At least they won't be expecting it and we might be a little more successful than we have been with the 2-pointer.

Anyway,

Go SAINTS!!!!
