The one thing I hate to point out but this loss was after a bye week.

Don’t remind me

I have been sitting thinking about that fact for a few days now

lets think positively

Oh trust me, I'm thinking positive but I also believe this team will stay focus and being that this is a conference game they should come out and take care of business.

WOW. Brought back memories of the Steve Walsh song they would play on the radio all the time...."Steve Walsh baby"..

Re: 1993?

Yep, that 93 season was something. Wade Wilson proved that he was no better than a backup QB, the defense wasn't what they were in previous years, and the Saints did kind of play over their heads at the open of the season. Basically what I remember about that year was the year the window of opportunity finally closed. The Saints had a decent run for several years before that, but just couldn't get it done.

No excuse. You talking about Louisiana, you should have been drinking by the time you were 15 and already a seasoned pro by 21! LOL

Re: 1993?

I was 13 at the time but I remember from that season: getting destroyed by Pittsburgh, getting chewed out by my dad for cheering the injury to Wilson and the Saints becoming only the 3rd team in NFL history to start 5-0 and NOT make the playoffs

Re: 1993?

Swilling was gone. Mills got hurt. Wilson started throwing more INTs than TDs.

Bad recipe...

So True!!! What Past?

Dempsey's kick?
The Crecent City Relay and Kick Heard Around the Area?
The Aaron Brooks Pitch Play?
The Joe Horn Call?

You have to be a glutton for punishment to be a Saints Fan.

Oh yea 2002 was another very good year as we went 8-1.
Saints were rated #1 in ESPN Power Poll that week.
That was when Brooks shoulder got hurt and we lost the last 4 games.
That was Mike McCarthy's last year and the end of Brooks.

Re: 1993?

I was hoping that I could say Aaron Brooks, but it was Wade Wilson and our very good defense that produced well to start and then went in the tank.
