Re: Stuck in Cowboy Country..yuck!!
I almost feel sorry for the Cowboys now. I think the spotlight is burning them
up, seriously. They're scrambling around as if they were 0-4, and I just think their own media darlingness is their worst enemy. Yall know, I used to live in the Shreveport TV area, and man, that used to piss me off so badly, when they would show the Cowboys on tv there, instead of the Saints---in Louisiana! People in NW La who root for the Cowboys! Houston has always had this disease. Back when the Oilers were here, we had a center named Carl Mauck, who came out in a tv interview and offered to help any Cowboys fans living in Houston to move to Dallas. Honestly, I think Houston sports radio is doing a complete dumbass in ignoring the Saints. Did they not see the number of Saints fans at Reliant this August who showed up for a PRESEASON game? Do they not go to the sports bars here???? Are they really that blind to the number of Saints bumper stickers etc. driving down the street here????? I cant drive down Westheimer and not see a Saints fan. They're everywhere here. (then you gotta honk & "Who-DAt" each other) Those sport radio ******* here are going to jump onto our bandwagon for sure--- just watch. |

If Mclain jumped off of Reliant wouldn't the aftershock be felt in California?

Re: Stuck in Cowboy Country..yuck!!
Do yourselves all a favor and move back to NOLA! :cool3:
|
Re: Stuck in Cowboy Country..yuck!!
I love visiting NOLA, but my next move will be into a swamp. I'm gonna live
in a floating swamphouse & trap crawfish and not deal with traffic. We'll cruise down the intercoastal waterway into town for the home games. |
Re: Stuck in Cowboy Country..yuck!!
I'll trade you Poke country for Beagles/Jersey A/Jersey B country any day. 2Puke greens and a horrid blue bunch of crass, xenophobes doesn't make for a great time.

Re: Stuck in Cowboy Country..yuck!!
Grew up in N. LA, (Monroe / Shreveport, so by LA standards I am a YANKEE). Don't get me started about Shreveport (I think the media there wishes they were in TX)
I been here in Cowpie land myself for a while... moved out of Irving so I wouldn't have to look at that damn stadium twice a day... Would love to be in NOLA myself, but not possible right now...We do get to a few game a year visit relatives in River Ridge (their employer has a box in the SD). I should have told them I wanted to go to this game, but the 1st game live for me this year will be the ATL game. Not sure what it is this year, but I just can't get enough info on the Saints...I thouhg I was bad the last couple of years, but this year has just been MUCH DIFFERENT... Just hope the team set the correct GOAL... Not get to the SB.... the GOAL should be... To HOLD THE LOMBARDI TROPHY in MY HANDS AFTER SB44..... |

Re: Stuck in Cowboy Country..yuck!!
I moved to Dallas after that "witch" named Katrina (Betsy's daughter and one of the triplets, including Wilma and Rita) blew me away from the 504. Yes, a lot of Cow fans are snobbish. But I love their radio talk shows, especially Randy Galloway. And, BTW, Galloway praises the Saints.
One thing, the Cow fan you talked to didn't know that Drew Brees is from Texas and he played at Westlake HS in Austin? DT Remi Ayodele (former Cow) is from Texas (South Garland HS w/ brother Akin). OT Jammal Brown was born in Waxahachie. QB Chase Daniel and PK Garrett Hartley (Southlake Carroll HS, the "John Curtis" of the DFW). I could go on and on. Also, I found a way to 'steal' the WWL Radio AM 870 signal, basically by accident. It only happens at night (between 6pm and 6am). In the morning, everything would be in Spanish. http://i291.photobucket.com/albums/l...71/brees75.jpg |
