My take, for what it's worth...
Long time since I've posted on here so hope y'all are doing well. Anyway, the game on Sunday has all the makings of a real bruising game but the only thing that really concerns me is the Giants running game. They really do have the type of back we have not faced yet in Brandon Jacobs. Over the past few years he really has been solid and our run defense really needs to be firing on all cylinders to bring this guy down. Glad Shanle is having his best season so far and our defensive backfield have turned things around so I don't reall worry too much about their passing game. Will our O line protect Brees as they should? I predict they will give up three sacks but as long as Brees comes out of it ok, it won't be a deciding factor. I think to negate the pass rush short slants and screens would be an idea and as Lance Moore is back maybe once in a while 5 receiver sets will be used. I actually think this game will come down to our passing and their running game. Mind you, as this is the NFL, any sort of prediction can fall apart in a big way. I mean, I thought the Saints/Eagles matchup was going to be a tight game and look what happened. Whatever goes on, it will be an exciting game to watch. By the way, during the bye week did anyone else sit holding their knees rocking back and forth saying 'It's ok, they'll be here next week..it will all be good again. It's ok.....'

We have yet to see Brees produce much against a top tier pass rush. He did a good job managing the game against Buffalo and NYJ (by not taking chances when he had the lead) but I don't expect much passing production this week.

NYG O line is one of the best in football. Our secondary has capitalized on the success of our blitz schemes. If we can't pressure Eli, he'll find the open man. I'll be very impressed if we can hurry Eli (bum foot) into making poor decisions the way Sanchez did.
Bradshaw? Nope. I could gain 100yds vs the Raiders. We will succeed at sopping their rush. On offense, we really need to control the clock more than ever. I don't think Payton wants a close game, but keeping Manning off the field could be our best defense. Saints 19 Giants 17 So, for me it comes down to pressuring Eli |

Nice of SaintsGup to give his view. May be wrong but I think this is our English Saints fan. Wow do not see may like him. Giants run to pass but we have to be able to discourage them from doing so. If the Saints can do this we can eat up the clock with this new found running game of ours and let Brees go to work when they stack it up. I think this will be a mirror image game plan and it will come down to who is the toughest and can make some plays and get some breaks. This is going to be a fun one to watch.

Bradshaw is another matter. He will get a few big runs, but I hope not in the red zone. |

I agree on our defensive backfield being better than theirs. Not sayin that theirs is bad in any shape or form but if we can get to Manning we might se our boys pick a couple off this week too.
Don't know if I want them to get the ball thou. I much rather have them play catch up throughout the game. |

I agree this will be a mirror game plan. Let's see who executes better.
