Props to Giants fans in the Dome

I gotta tip my hat to the Giants fans yesterday.

They showed up. They represented. They wore those damn Giants jerseys.
They made noise when it was still a game. And they took the smack like men. And most notably, they partied in the Quarter afterward, kept their Giants stuff on, and seemed very proud of their guys, despite a bad day on the field.

Im impressed.

btw, I could live without "na na na na hey hey goodbye," and all that shouting the 20 yr old guys were doing at them. I wont tell anyone what to do with their ticket money, but once we win, I'd rather they have a good time & spend more money. We won! wish we could do it with style, instead.

I was one of those 20 y/o's, but I actually turned 30 on Saturday. And those guys were talking mo' smack before the game started. They asked for it.

As someone who has a lot of Giants fans for friends, all of which are from Jersey, I support you Sir. I have enjoyed hearing their silence this week.

Screw it, they paid the price of being Giant fans in our Dome.

I took my son (8 years old) to see the Ravens vs Saints and the last second before we left to make the drive from DC to Balitmore I asked him one last time... Son I don't think we should wear our Saints shirts or hats we'll get harrassed. He said "thats what makes it all that special win or lose". We did it and won!!! Needless to say we hot some hotties on us because chicks seem to like the Saints.

That's good to hear Mike. But what did you expect.... they weren't Philly or Chicago fans after all :D:D:D

The Jints fans were a good group. Even the loudmouths behind me were respectful after the saints starting their hot knife thru butter routine.

However, there was one D-bag in a Tony Freaking Romo jersey in our section. I really enjoyed joining up with the Giants fans in a synchronized single finger salute.

I find that a lot of Giant fans, and Jet fans for that matter, very passionate, and vocal, but pretty good sports. They're vociferous and brash or whatever, and if you don't understand that's just their nature, you may think get the wrong impression of them or get offended but, on the whole, they're good spirited and can take it as well as dish it out. I get a kick out of them, and many of them find us facinating as well. It can be quite a clash of cultures but usually in a good way.

not everyone is as classy as you my friend. i watched the game at a bar w/ a bunch of friends. one of my buddies gf's was a giants fan. even though giants fans love to be obnoxious, cocky, and will rub it in your face when they beat you, i took the high road.

once the game got out of hand, i stopped all my hooting and hollering. i didnt wanna make her feel worse than she already was by rubbing it in her face. i told her not to worry. the giants are a good team and will definately be in the playoffs.

The Giants started it with that coin toss shoving match.

really? I missed that. about 10,000 of us were stuck outside in the "heightened security." What a joke. First of all, you can pretty much look around and tell all these people are just regular Who Dats. It was obvious, none of them were Al Quaeda. All you gotta do is ask
them what they had for breakfast. "boudin & eggs & community coffee." "Alright sir, right this way." "camel sausage & sand biscuits." -- um, sir, I need you to step over here. . . I dont know, I just think I know a bunch of Yats when I see them.

So we're stuck in this big mosh which is NOT moving. . . and we stand there until finally we can see the light, and then you get there.... and its the SAME
half a$$ patdown-- I could have smuggled a bazooka and bag of bayonets and they would have never got it.

Anyway, a lot of us missed the kickoff, and the coin toss.

I hung out with a bunch of giants fans both Friday and Saturday nights and found them fun to be with. I was kinda expecting a bunch of obnoxious blowhards like eagles fans always seem to be but these guys were more good natured. Don't know what they would have been like after the game though. I notice none texted me after the game.

Cher, I don't think you get it. A bunch of coonass is Exactly who they are afraid of. People descended from a bunch of folks who get fed up enough to start a new country are the enemy.

Anyhow, there were a few Giants fans up in Woodrow's and I don't believe we toned it down for them at all. In fact, it was loud all the time until the end of the game. And we were obnoxious in a Bobby Hebert sort of way.

Yes....I am among the many banned from SR.

I'm not an LSU fan. In fact, I actively despise all things LSU. I was raised a Tulane fan.

That got me banned on a Saturday in October last year when LSU got whipped by Florida. It was worth it.

I know a lot of folks that are bandwagon LSU fans that used to not pull for LSU. I am staying true because I remember what it was like being a Saints fan in Baton Rouge. You could never find a more obnoxious set of fans than those LSU fans. It probably isn't as bad nowadays but I have heard my share of LSU chants in the Superdome so I know they are still out there.

My wife is painting our house room by room. I told her I wanted bold colors. Tired of the standard issue contractor beige.

The foyer has three colors, all shades of yellow basically. One is reasonably close to the yellow the mental midget LSU fans call gold (I may get banned here too if I keep typing). She was considering a purple shade for a room that is open to the foyer.

I flat out told her.

"You can have purple. You can have yellow. But under no circumstances can you have purple and yellow where I can see both colors at the same time in my house."

I think you mean drivel. Unless we are talking basketball or low pressure urination.

S'okay, I wasn't really set on the purple anyway. Gumbeau was born in Marrero and raised in Baton Rouge. Thanks Exile, If I haven't needed a lawyer by now (17 years of marriage) then I don't suppose I will ever need one... LOL.:p
