Let's go crazy...NFC Playoff predictions
 

Only 11 games to go but what the heck. Why be a fan for 42 years if you can't have big dreams and get way ahead.

So here is my NFC playoff bracket.

Seed order
NO
MIN
NYG
SF
ATL
GB
Wildcard week has the NYG over GB, ATL over SF.

Division week NO over ATL and in a rematch of Week 17 the NYG defeat MIN.

Conference NO over NYG in the Dome.

Of course I see a big possibility that the NFC West is up for grabs.

I'm ready for all the "let's concentrate on the Dolphins". Bah, humbug. That's why they pay the players big money. I do this for free so I can look ahead. Hell, if we were 0-5 we would be looking ahead to the draft with no complaints.

I didn't think there was a snowball's chance that the NFCS would put two teams in the playoffs after facing the AFC and NFC Easts. It's looking more and more likely now, though.

Still, ATL has some tough games ahead:

7 Sun, Oct 25 @ Dallas
8 Mon, Nov 2 @ New Orleans
11 Sun, Nov 22 @ NY Giants
13 Sun, Dec 6 Philadelphia
14 Sun, Dec 13 New Orleans
15 Sun, Dec 20 @ NY Jets

They're hardly a lock.

I think the Giants, Saints and Vikes stay atop their divisions and Arizona gets it together and beats out SF for the west. The WC will be a really tough race. PHI, DAL, ATL, GB, CHI and SF all have a legit shot, and I think it comes down to tiebreakers.

Beat the NYG in round 2.
Beat the Colts in the SB.

I think we stay in the top 10 power ranking for the next 5 years. Then slip to number 15 or so in the next 5 years.

We win 2 Superbowls in the next 10 years, the first against the Colts and the next against the Cowboys who move to Los Angeles and the AFC while the Bengals move to the NFC East.

The only thing that matters is if we win or lose the superbowl.

Again, we get it.

You can live in the past (whether we won or lost the previous week's game), but don't berate those that like to dream or speculate about what can and probably will happen.

If you don't believe in 'predictions' or looking beyond the next game, then why would you even bother posting on a thread named "NFC Playoff Predictions" let alone clicking on the the link and reading it??? Giving in to such impulses can only lead to great frustration on your part. I can tell you are frustrated, so here is some advice:

Why don't you try sticking to the threads that interest you and that you think you can make a beneficial contribution to and that don't give you these bad impulses to try and spoil everybody else's fun?? Hmmm? That sounds like a GOOD plan to me! (sprinkling sarcasm liberally throughout this post for proper seasoning)
