Re: What they are saying in Orlando Joey Porter
Let him run his mouth, its about the only thing he is good at anyways.

Re: What they are saying in Orlando Joey Porter
What a tool. And a highly overrated player. Morstead probably scares that punk chicken.
|
Re: What they are saying in Orlando Joey Porter
He's not really running his mouth...not in usual porter fashion at least. Sounded like he respects us.

Re: What they are saying in Orlando Joey Porter
YEA WHODAT205 he is not really running his mouth just saying what he wants to do to us doesn't what to put fodder on the fire.

Re: What they are saying in Orlando Joey Porter
Ok, lemme get this straight... Joey says he's been "studying" the Buffalo game, and he's worried about Reggie Bush running the ball?
Ok, Joey... :) |
Re: What they are saying in Orlando Joey Porter
He might not even play.... He hasnt for the past 2 weeks right?
|
Re: What they are saying in Orlando Joey Porter
Joey Porter always runs his mouth. This interview is no different. He isn't having a good year (his stats are really low)and I don't anticipate anything changing soon.

Re: What they are saying in Orlando Joey Porter
He was out with a hamstring injury but is supposed to return this week, along with another starting OLB whose name I forget.

PFT's response has a point:

Re: What they are saying in Orlando Joey Porter
Porter doesn't seem very educated in the Saints offense at all if he thinks the RB they need to stop is Reggie Bush.
|
Re: What they are saying in Orlando Joey Porter
Joey Porter is washed up. Sounds like Antoino Pierce before he played the Saints. He kept talkin crap saying "We are way better than the Saints. They are overrated." Well you see how that ended up turning out. Let these pesants keep talkin crap. When we run it down their throats, we will see who has the last laugh.

Re: What they are saying in Orlando Joey Porter
"We need to take away that run and make Brees play from a different element he hasn't played from all year," Porter said. "Our goal is to get to Reggie Bush often and not let him have the game to where he's hitting the seams and getting big gashes. Make him earn everything he gets, keep him under 2 yards a carry and at the end of the day switch it to Drew Brees and get it one-sided to where you know they're going to pass."
Ha! Yeah, chase Reggie all afternoon... meanwhile PT and Bell will rip you a new one. |

Re: What they are saying in Orlando Joey Porter
Hey Saints fans; Fin fan here.
Great site you've got here. I just thought I'd chime in here with the Porter discussion. First of all, to be fair, you ought to keep in mind he's being asked these questions. The media is coming to him for his thoughts. Furthermore, I didn't take his comments to be disrespectful at all. What I read into them was respect and appreciation for what the Saints' offense is capable of doing. I also understand why he made mention of Bush in particular. Our defense has had the most trouble with RBs like Washington, Jackson etc. Reggie Bush is the same kind of back as they are only much better. Consider this: ....""Our goal is to knock them off the high horse and try to bring them down," Porter said Wednesday. "They've been out in front of every game. They've scored a touchdown on every opening drive they've had. "Our goal is not to let them start fast by any means. We've got to slow them down to make them work for everything they get out there. Hopefully that's not much. We can't let them get in that comfort zone to where their offense is wide open. We've got to try to put them in a situation to where they're not out in front and able to do everything they like to do."........... "We want to make them play from behind to where you can take away the double-headed monster of being able to run the ball for 150 yards and pass for 350," Porter said. "You let them get in that comfort zone, it's going to be a long day. Doesn't matter who you're playing against."........ Does that really sound like he's doing anything but telling the reporter what they need to do in order to win the game, while heaping praise on what the Saints have been doing? |
Re: What they are saying in Orlando Joey Porter
I don't see any smack there. It well documented that the guy makes a lot of noise but for the most part he's been able to back it up. He had a bunch of sacks last year and is a great LB. Don't write him off as a noisy player with no ability.
That said, he'll be lucky to get through the Saints o-line.:p |
Re: What they are saying in Orlando Joey Porter
Reggie will be the least of his worries come Sunday after Bell and Thomas run up and down the field on their defense. I doubt Drew will have an off game since the Dolphins have two rookies in their defensive back field. If the Dolphins can get a pass rush then they might be able to slow down Drew

Re: What they are saying in Orlando Joey Porter
I think its just a lot of wishful thinking on his part.
