Re: Game TImes ???

I guess we will see if there is a point to this after this weekends game...

Are the Saints going to allow teams to
stay close in the "Late Games" this year?

Just attempting to get a conversation going, but I guess not....

Can scheduling times can play a part on the performance of an entire team?

Which one of the 6 Flavors?

I think you're trying to say the later games have been complete wipeouts, and the early games (noonish) have been close or keeping it close.

Honestly I'm not an early morning person and I can see your point. If I was a football team I would win in the afternoon and early evening, early morning games would require a lot of coffee to kick in!

I think you hit probably stated that MUCH better than I did Halo.

I was wondering if the team was "Off" a bit when I looked at the times of the games - the only ones that really appear close were the later games.

You can get in a RUT and when you have to come out of it you wind up attempting something that your body is not really accostomed/ready to do.

The way I looked at it was that everything on game day in the late games is changed regardless of travel or not.

With everything coming later - pregame meal, stretching, this list could go on...

I don't even want to think about if any of the game times are when some of the players are normally sleeping...Glad the Saints are not playing in London this year.

But I guess in the end the team is composed of professionals and they have seen this before...and worked around it.

I dont know, but this 3pm start is stupid. Why are they doing this? They're not the national game, because they put Atlanta/Dallas as the national game. Not one of these 4 teams is on the west coast. I wish they wouldnt **** with things all the time.

I like the jalapeno tabasco. I eat tabasco with everything.

I like the later games only because I can drink that much more heavily on Saturday evening. That's all I can say personally. Hurts you Mike with all the driving I'm sure!

You can start a conversation any time, I'm just trying to understand what the actual point is. About the only 2 patterns I see in what you posted is that the Saints have not scored 40+ points in games @ 3PM and the defense has not allowed more than 10 points in games @ 3PM.

As for general performance, I think playing earlier would affect one's play more, like a West Coast team going to the East Coast and playing a 1PM EDT time, where the WC's team "body clock" would be at 10AM.

Re: Game TImes ???

I think early play would be a BIG adjustment for a West Coast team coming to the East Coast and playing an early game.

Not really sure what the Saints Practice schedule is... Are they practicing early and the 3PM time is when they are normally recouperating from Pratice/Sleeping...

I don't think this is a big issue, but if it all the late games wind up being what appears to be close games it would be recurring (and yes 2 games in a statistical view is INSANE  - but maybe I am there).

I know moving from coast to coast is a BIG issue in College football. I'm sure it's the same for PRO. They fly in, try to get over jet lag, play and then leave.
