An open letter to Philly
I think what you did to the Redskins last night was unusually cruel, even for a division rival. You score 27 points in the first half, and then after halftime you can't even manage to put any points on the board, or even attempt a field goal against hapless Washington.
Haven't the Redskin fans suffered enough? Their coach is a lame duck and their owner is probably more concerned about his fantasy team than his football team at this point. The team gets perpetually warned that their name and logo could get taken away for political correctness. By not scoring, you are giving these poor fans false hope that their team is still in the game when they actually aren't. You leave them looking for a silver lining when there isn't much there. Show some mercy and end the game sooner. You could provide a clear and firm signal that the game is out of reach so these hard-working folks can know that the game is over and they can leave before the 4th quarter to beat the traffic and get to bed a little earlier. Instead, your naughty Eagles are toying with their prey in Washington. It's like watching a child play with it's food for an hour and a half. Or more like watching a monkey pick its butt. If Philly, after reading this you are still convinced you did nothing wrong, then look in the mirror and ask yourself ... what would Breesus do? |
Re: An open letter to Philly
Don't worry... we're going to give them a proper send off.

Re: An open letter to Philly
I bet a 6 pack of Abita Restoration that Jim Zorn gets fired after we play them.
|
Re: An open letter to Philly
Ill take that bet ;)

Re: An open letter to Philly
I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't get fired this week, he won't even make it to the Saints game but if he does, they will just have to give him a proper send off

Agreed I think its his fantasy that he has a real football team:-D |
Re: An open letter to Philly
I couldn't help but think of a cat playing with a mouse when I read this. Zorn could possibly finish this seasonas a head coach, but I seriously doubt it. Washington is pathetic, poor bas*****. I can't help but feel sorry for their fans. I know how they must feel.

Re: An open letter to Philly
You should see how cheap people are selling their tickets in DC.
That second half of football was just plain hard to watch. Hopefully Philly doesn't think that their problems are behind them after that game. |

On the upside, our game in Washington should be a great time for traveling Who-Dats. It might amount to our 9th home-game. |
