He ain't getting cut. He ain't getting traded. He'll be here until his contract expires in 2012. Assuming his production says the same, he'll probably get a low-ball contract offer, test the FA market and pick up with a team somewhere else.

I think Reggie realizes that he is simply a role player in this league. I think playing him less now will help later in the season. He usually plays well early and ends the year injured, maybe playing him less will leave him healthy and able to make plays when these games really matter. I really like the way Payton is using him. He is not and in my opinion will never be a superstar. He is a role player that can make a big play on occasion.

not to be mean but reggie is accepting himself as a role player because he still gets paid a **** load... but i still wanna seee him succeed.. he can do soo much.. just hasn't done it yet and its his third year, sure people will say he's a bust he not worth the money.. but damn were 6-0 lets jsut get its over with and win the superbowl we deserve..

Someone mentioned this before and I think it bears some weight...how can you expect Reggie to become a feature back, he wasn't one in college? It's probably not going to happen now. Although, he has proven to be a valuable contributor he is best in this role. Hopefully he will get more involved and get back to form. I don't know that it's his fault that he was picked 2nd overall.
