Can't get it for Friday because of short notice but the manager at Specs on Smith said with a weeks notice he can get a keg of either one. So maybe next get together we can keep this in mind.

Just got an email from Primadox. Unless they've forgotten a previous committment, they're coming. Smashmouth & his Hotter Half are joining the gang too. (can you believe that? They're coming in from Austin.) Pope Ed & lovely Edvina will teach us to say Who Dat Say Dey Gonna Beat Dem Saints in Russian. RaginCajun83, just a few weeks prior to his wedding--everybody congratulate him & his fiancee Tiffany. Hello Hou-Dats... NGU from the other board here... Sky Mike recommended i come over here as well and am glad that he did.... Those that know me know I am a 43 year season ticket holder and most of my posts are about perspective from a guy that has been to all but 4 home games in 43 years... all the pain and heart ache that culminated in the greatest moments of my sporting life with the NFC Championship in the DOME (would have been great in 2006 but I lived for the moment to enjoy the championship with OUR people... the people that in a couple of cases I sat next too in old Tulane Stadium as a young boy) and of course on Feb 7....

I spent two years in Houston and became a Hou-Dat.. back in Lafayette now working in Lafayette, New york and Houston... so when I am in Houston and when the Saints are out of town, I will be at Woodrows.... keep me in the social loop!!!!!!!

Hey Hou-Dats, please welcome our newest MVP (Most Valuable Poster) NeverGiveUp-- Bob. He's by far one of the greatest posters, a true longsufferer, with a goldmine of great New Orleans and Louisiana stories.

Yall realize between him and SuperDome (Ed), you got 86 years of Saints tradition. What a pleasure it is to have you join our board, brother, and what a great addition to the museum of Saints history we have on this board. I've met NGU in person, and you can tell where he's from about the minute he speaks... hahaha....

It was good to get together ... Crawfish was unreal good! Showed the HD Vid of the Superbowl festivities in the quarter later on the tube. Even saw Pep Rally Dude! A very good time was had indeed. Many thanks to Hou-Yat for hosting!

Smash & RC83, it was great to meet you guys over some beer & crawfish. It was nice getting everybody together in the offseason. Also special thanks to Budsdrinker & SkyMike for helping out with the expenses. I'll post a couple of pics once I have them uploaded.

I found a crawfish that escaped and made it into the pool. I can't get it out, that's a fast little devil in the water. I wonder how long they can live in chlorine??

Hey guys.... I will be in Houston for the Seahawks game (Nov. 21).(I am coming from New Orleans to see Roger Waters). I will make sure to hook up with you guys at Woodrow's. I used to go to little woodrow's in college (Rice) and have been to the big one a few times.

Looking forward to meeting a few members here. I guess I'll at least recognize you SkyMike since your picture is up on here (btw, you and I got into it one time on the subject of Houston on the "other" board- I was less than complementary. sorry).

Hey, Hou-Dats, it was outstanding to hang out with all of you. Some of you, particularly Budsdrinker's wife, (a crazy background, and travel story + I share her views on the world) and several others, I wish I could have visited with more, as there were so many of us, and it seemed like a short time.

Hou Yat, the mudbugs were outstanding, as it was wonderful to taste crawfish made by real actual Louisianians. Just to smell the pot cooking was awesome, and your house is great, and I love your pool & yard. Its good to know Im not the only crazy person who decorates their home with Louisiana and Saints stuff, although I now realize I am missing the Crescent City "Sewage & Water Board" cover, which I must aquire immediately.

I'd like to extend a special welcome to Sabrina (OldMaid), and Kat (DrWhoDat) who joined us last night. Sabrina was a teacher at Laffite, and long time New Orleans area native, among numerous other stops, and Kat is a long-time radio colleague of mine, whom I've almost forgot how long we were on the air together. As easily predicted, both of you ladies fit in perfectly with out crowd, and make a great contribution to our Gumbo of personalities.

Looking forward to seeing willdownload, Deadman, Gumbeau & WifeUnit at our next extravaganza, and gumbeau, plz bring whatever that outstanding liquor is you were sharing.

I will be playing in the 2010 Zwack AirHockey World Championships, the event will be held at SRO Family sports bar and cafe located at 444 Northwest Mall, Houston, TX, 77092.

the dates for the event are as follow
July 10: Youths tourney from 1pm to 8pm for Ages 5 through 16
JUly 15: meet and great party with some fun events from 2-10pm
July 16: Amateur and Power Doubles tourney from 2-10pm
July 17-18 Open Singles from 11am to 9pm Sat and from 11am to 6pm Sunday

CONGRATULATIONS RAGINCAJUN83! (Brandon & Tiffany) They married last friday night in the Woodlands in the presence of a large crowd of friends and loved ones, and then proceeded to party it up in style, dressed exquisitely, of course, late into the night. It was a very notable celebration, including their outstanding dinner impressive full bar selection, and interesting people throughout the room. There was much revelry, conversation and lots of dancing, not to mention an impromptu second line like I havent seen since football season. There were definite Saints themes throughout the night from the "Saints gridiron" grooms cake, to the amazing Fleur De Lis ice scuplture, to my chilling audio sound byte of "Pigs are flying/ Hell has frozen over" after dinner while "Do Whatcha Wanna played in the background.

Those of us among the "help," worked our butts off, and it was 100% worth it to see the smiles on our Bride and Groom, and all of their guests.
Congratulations, Brandon and Tiffany. It was an honor and privilege being your emcee.

I called and they said they would have the game on...sure it wouldn't hurt to reconfirm tomorrow, however. And kids are welcome until 9pm, so if you have to bring the little ones, you'll miss watching the camp bodies play at the end of the 4th quarter. :)

That's good to know! I'm hoping that the girl I talked to knew what she was talking about when she said the game would be on; she even said that since it's a weeknight, in all likelihood it could be put on a big screen with sound. But again, I plan to call tomorrow to be sure that they will indeed have the game. :)

And the intersection of Katy Fwy and Barker Cypress is major-easy for me to get to...:-D

ah... all is right in the universe. the order of matter & energy remains preserved, because we really dont know for sure if we're gonna be able to watch a Saints preseason game, right?

Because I thought I had drifted into the Twilight Zone, with this winning 13 in a row, winning playoff games, winning the Super Bowl. It was starting to scare me. But here we are back in Houston, and we may or may not have a bar that can show the Saints tonight. Everything in life is still normal. hahaha...

Struggling to watch a Saints preseason game is about a 29 year old tradition for me.

Anyway, we're about to go on vacation, and I'll have to see if the Kaseimo is up to joining us finger-crossing Saints preseason fans tonight. I'll bet if I get laundry finished today, she'll say yes.

And you are exactly right. All is right with the world. They are not showing the game up here in Shreveport either. ESPN saw it in their infinite wisdom to show the Carolina-Baltimore game instead. Nice! (sacasm) I'll just stay up late and watch a re-run of the game on NFLN. Say a prayer that our guys stay healthy.

Woodrow's management has just called me, and says they are working on getting the game right now.

Its gonna be an internet streaming thing... not that I really understand what that means, but you I-phone, twittering modern types do...
... So understand it wont be in HD, or 3D, or whatever people think they have to see now ...when i was a kid, we were excited to see it in COLOR!

AGAIN, Woodrows is working right now on getting the game on tonight.
