PT and Bell
PT: Man he had some awesome runs last night. That first touchdown was incredible. He shed a tackle and then had a stiff arm swipe on the other guy. He has some awesome speed as well, after he shed that last tackle , he turned on the boosters to fly into the endzone.
Bell: What more can we say about this guys. He runs like a freakin locomotive train every time he touches the ball. I just love how he lowers the boom on whoever gets in his way. All in all we have an incredible running game. I thought Sean called a very balanced game and when we do that we are unstopable. |
Re: PT and Bell
Yeah they both looked good. Each had a fumble though. Gotta clean that mess up.

Re: PT and Bell
They are a great one two punch. I love watching them play.

Re: PT and Bell
Yeah. Both of those guys run hard and give nice efforts to pick up extra yardage after contact. I think that smashmouth style is even wearing off on Reggie....I saw him trying to lower his helmet and run over folks last night.

Re: PT and Bell
Dude!!! I forgot, Reggie did run somebody over last night. He caught a ball in the flats and steam rolled a CB.

One of my biggest gripes about the guy has been that he almost always seems afraid of contact. He looked pretty good last night, I have to admit. |

Re: PT and Bell
Great effort by all 3. And give props to ol. They did a great job as well. PT's TD run sure was sweet to watch.

Re: PT and Bell
We're on pace for about 2200 yards rushing this year. Not bad!
|
Re: PT and Bell
Our running game, obviously along with our defense, is what has us at 7-0. They would have had a pretty much perfect night last night were it not for the fumblerooskies. Gotta knock that crap off and we'll steamroll people.

Re: PT and Bell
I love this combination! You have the brute force of Bell, and the finesse of PT. They compliment each other extremely well.
Here is my only gripe about them. I have them both on my fantasy football team. When I start one over the other, the benched player gets the majority of the points. Had I started PT last night, I would have won in both of my leagues. lol |
Re: PT and Bell
Thomas has a gift of even when he's tackled, it's not a direct, bone crushing blow. I wish he would pass some of that ability on to Bell. Sooner or later, Bell isn't going to get up. LOL.

Re: PT and Bell
Payton is getting the most out of Bell and PT by splitting playing time and Bush is running a little aggressively himself.
|
Re: PT and Bell
what was this "who gets to be the starter" crap earlier this year. 50/50 baby. team all the way

I kind of like starting Pierre, and letting Bell come in mid 3rd quarter when the defense is tired. Bell has a quick lateral step that leaves tired defenders grasping air. But,,, Pierre breaks arm tackles, so he's good against a tired defense too. |

when people look at the saints team you cant honestly pick out a better running back between bell, PT, and bush there is really no right or wrong answer so the idea of a "starter" is meaningless this is the same type of thing people were saying about "every down backs"......we are changing the definition of starter just like we changed the idea of an every down back |

I got 19 from PT but only 2 from Bell. It was enough to squeak out a win though. |
