Devery

Wow!!!! He has truly progressed in the last 2 years. What a hell of a catch he made on the sideline. He has been really clutch this year. You can tell that he just concentrates on catching the ball first, then turning up field for YAC. I am so fired up this morning. YEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!

That was a great catch, Coach Johnson has done a great job of improving Devery

We all know he has the talent. Sometime you just need that coach to bring it out.

Devery is a machine 10 yards down the field.

Re: Devery

I think it was last week I heard that Coach Johnson drops a hankerchief and makes Devery catch it with his fingers over and over before it hits the ground. Sounds wierd but it's working.

I was throwing the football around with a friend earlier and I was explaining what a good job Johnson has done with these receivers. Devery finally gets it and Meachem seems to be getting it too...It seems like we can just pull any receiver off the practice squad and plug them right in.

Never doubted. Devery is a key piece to this offense. We need better blocking if we really want to see him shine.

Ok I have been the number one trade Dervy mouth for years. I am almost to the point to back off of him. But not yet. Lets see how the rest of the season goes first

Let's give credit to Drew Brees for keeping all the guys after practice to run routes over and over and over.

Re: Devery

Devery Henderson was nothing but speed when he came to the Saints and could not be relied upon to actually catch the ball. He was awful. If he hadn't had track star speed he would have been cuts years ago.

Now through coaching and hard work he is a dependable receiver who has also learned to help his quarterback. He comes back for the ball when Drew needs him to. That is a huge difference for this offense.

Re: Devery

I loved Devery since day 1. The thing about him is that he will make those incredible, amazing catches. "How did he catch that ball". Then the very next wide open, easiest pass in the world, not running just standing there and drops it. That is the most frustrating part.

I'm very proud of Devery and what he's added to this team this season.....

but, he still owes me for 7 remotes, 20 spilled beers, payments for anger management classes, and 4 cans of Grecian Formula 16.
