Re: New Orleans Saints film study: The Saints' No. 1 fan is Jon Gruden
Gruden, like many of his fellow ex-coaches with superbowl rings isn't likely to get back into coaching anytime soon. Not only would they command a huge salary, but most of them are happy doing what they are doing now. Gruden is great in the booth on MNF and hes having fun doing it. Just as Cowher is enjoying his TV gig. Dungy is off doing his thing, Schottenhiemer is too old (thats what he says)66, and the others I can't think of atm are pretty much settled in as well.
Best bet for these train wrecks, like Oakland, Cleveland, Washington and TB is to once again start over, with a good GM, someone thats been in the front office before, has experience, knows personnel, and turn football operations over to him. Only problem is, who wants to go work for one of thoses owners? |

Jon Gruden and Sean Payton run the show in a similar manner. Both demand that the players follow the rules-no exceptions. They're both smart and believe in you play like you practice.
Edit: Does anybody miss Tony Kornholio? |
