Thursday Injury Report!
New Orleans Saints' Thursday injury report
By Nakia Hogan, The Times-Picayune November 05, 2009, 1:48PM Four New Orleans Saints players missed today's practice because of injury, according to Coach Sean Payton.Among the players held out of drills were strongside linebacker Scott Fujita (calf), defensive tackle Sedrick Ellis (knee) wide receiver Lance Moore (ankle) and defensive tackle Kendrick Clancy (knee). Following the workout, which was held outside, Payton said the ESPN report that said Ellis would miss four to six weeks with a strained MCL was "inaccurate. I think it is going to be sooner than that, yet the key is making sure he is 100 percent," Payton said. Payton did say he was still hopeful Fujita would play. Meanwhile, after being limited or held out of Wednesday's workout, cornerback Malcolm Jenkins (ankle), center Jonathan Goodwin (knee) and linebacker Marvin Mitchell (foot) all practiced fully today. |

WOOHOO! Glad to hear Goodwin is Ok

Re: Thursday Injury Report!
wahoo. Goodwin is ok...
that one worried me the most Monday night. Man, he looked like he was going to be carted. I want them all back---Ellis, Fujita, and you might not know how much Marvin Mitchell does for us. |
Re: Thursday Injury Report!
Ellis coming back should help our defense get stronger against the run again. We have been missing his impact on the front defensive line against good run teams. Also, getting Fujita back would help...Mitchell is actually in other players way.

Wish we had Ellis for this game.

Re: Thursday Injury Report!
When I heard that Sedrick Ellis had an MCL strain, I thought it would be maybe one week. I've known people who have torn their MCL and missed only two weeks, so a strain shouldn't keep Sed out 4-6 weeks.
But what do I know, I'm just a doctor. |
Re: Thursday Injury Report!
Hopefully fujita and Clancy will be back we do need our run d to be superb for this game. I'm just hoping Ellis will be back for new England..
