My sisters husband runs some kind of oil distribution company.....i really have no idea what he does but hes one of the nicest guys ive ever met and he puts up with the ***** that is my sister so kudos to him for that as well

he went down to new orleans this week for business and said if he hadnt just bought a house in myrtle beach he would move down to new orleans.....he said the people there are so nice.....the city is so beautiful.....the food is SO good....he made it clear the food was great.....if anybody deserved a warm welcome it was him and he said they went above and beyond his expectations

i dont know much about the city of new orleans but i know he sent me a couple pictures on my phone of all the places he went....it looks like the saints are part of not only the city but the culture and every day life

he doesnt have the opportunity to thank everyone down in new orleans for everything you all have done but i wanted to thank you all for making that city great and making his stay a memorable one

and heres to hoping he gives in and buys a house down there so i can mooch a little

put it this way, Canton. I live in Houston, and the Texans can have a home game, and you can be COMPLETELY UNAWARE the Texans are playing. I am not exaggerating.

Every other billboard, every other neon sign, every shop has Saints stuff. Its a matter of time before I pull up some toilet paper with WhoDat printed on it. It's on everything else.

There cannot be another city so connected with its football team as New Orleans. And afterward, the victory parade extends about 100 miles on the Interstate.

I tell you, its so crazy in N.O. If you see someone wearing something red, or green, or blue, and not blackandgold, you're like, "What the hell is wrong with that person?" Not that I'm mad at em, or anything, it just looks so weird, cuz everybody else has their fan on.

I can tell you guys, having been to NOLA and the dome a few times, and my share of other NFL stadiums....there are VERY FEW stadiums in the NFL nowadays that are right smack in the middle of downtown..which makes it a great scene when games are on.
Philly and Baltimore are outside the downtown area. Pittsburgh and Cincinnati are downtown.
I was to Cincinnati for the Steelers-Bungals playoff game in 2005, and while there was an awareness of what was going on, it was NOTHING like I saw in NOLA in 2006 when we were there for the Eagles game. The only thing I've seen that was similar to NOA was when we were in PIT last year for the AFCCG. But let's face it, while the PIT fan base is as rabid as any, downtown PIT lacks anything even approaching the French Quarter...
