I prefer going undefeated in the post season than in the regular season.

Just to recap... 1. Our 1st and 2nd DT were out, 2. They were replaced by a 1st year starter off of last years PS, a hybrid DE/DT, and another PS guy who has never played a down in the NFL, ever 3. Our most disciplined run defending OLB was out, replaced by a 2nd year player with 2 starts under his belt. 4. Our pro-bowl LT is on IR, replaced by a 3rd year guy who never played a down in the NFL until this season. 5. Our FB is on IR, who's a great pass and run blocker, replaced by some scrub off the street. 6. We outscored the Panthers 30-3 after that 1st quarter debacle, which was basically two mistakes. Did I miss anything? Note: After that 1st quarter, we adjusted and held the vaunted Panther rushing attack to 86 yards on 31 carries for a 2.7 YPC average , which, by the way, would rank first in the NFL every season this entire decade. Running the ball with a lead is what the Panthers do as well as anyone in the league. We shut them down. |
