New Orleans Saints cornerback Tracy Porter expected to undergo MRI on Monday
ST. LOUIS - New Orleans Saints cornerback Tracy Porter sustained an injury to the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee and is scheduled to undergo an MRI on Monday, according to a league source. Porter suffered the injury on the first play from scrimmage in the third quarter of the Saints' 28-23 victory against the St. Louis Rams on Sunday at the Edward Jones Dome. Once on the sideline, team doctors placed Porter's injured knee in a brace. Saints Coach Sean Payton declined to identify the extent of Porter's injury after the game. |

man what a bad break. I know injuries are a fact of life in the NFL, but this one truly sux. Porter was on his way to becoming a name in the league, I think. Most people probably havent noticed, but we have.

Sorry for Mr. Porter. But, the Saints are 9-0 and don't have the toughest schedule outside of the Patriots whose defense is horrible. Give Jenkins his shot. He's a big, physical, man up guy that's had a half season to get his feet wet. Now, it's time to play. WHO DAT!

I hope everyone here sees the writing on the wall. Safety coverage will have to rolled to that side a lot now and we're still going to get tromped. Porter and Greer were outstanding. Don't know if Porter will be a liability now that he has a blown knee...see MM and Deuce for explanation :( our pass D is about to drop like a rock.

I heard that the injury is not as bad as feared. MRI revealed MCL. Nothing torn. No surgery required! Do not know when he may be back

I've heard several different reports....I'm going with the one that says he'll be out 4-6 weeks. I'll just wait to find out and keep my fingers crossed. :couch:

We will need him for the playoff's. I thought for sure he would be out for the rest of the season
