Saints Have 2nd Easiest Schedule

USATODAY.com

We are #2 in the latest USA Today Computer Rankings to the Indy Colts.

Before you say you don't compare about rankings consider....

According to the USA Today computer rankings, we haven't played anybody. Based on the current computer power ranking, we have the second easiest schedule to date in the NFL.

No wonder we 9-0.

I don't care who we have played. We are very close to being TWO HOME wins away from going to the Superbowl. And we have the talent to win the Superbowl when we get there.

Do you remember the year we went 12-4 and didn't even win our own division. It's about time the schedule gave us a freaking break.

Also, Power Rankings are lame. The Colts are one Belicheat idiot non punt away from being number 2 on that list.

As Denver found out an easy game on the schedule is not always easy. And a few of those teams were undefeated when we played them. So reflect that in the schedule.

TOTALLY DISAGREE... Good call just not executed is all. There was plenty of time for Manning to take that ball from any part of the field to the Endzone. Thats all they have done this year. give them 48 seconds he'll take them 90 yards for a score. It was a good call by the pats coach... keep the ball out of Payton's hands and you MIGHT have a chance to win anyone who tells you otherwise has an agenda.

There are no easy games in the NFL, but some are easier than others. We'll find out how good we are after Atlanta, Dallas and New England.

I think Tampa is going to be another close game.

Yeah, their agenda is called mathematics. If you look at the probabilities of conversion vs the probabilities of the Colts driving 70 yds with no timeouts you punt the ball. Period. End of story. NO agenda just mathematical fact.

Strength of schedule is a slippery slope. After all the Rams played better than expected yesterday - while the Giants looked like a UFL team when we played them.

Re: Saints Have 2nd Easiest Schedule

Strength of schedule is calculated incorrectly by the league. A team with a good record will always have an "easier" schedule.

The Saints are 9-0, so say our opponents' records are then 36-45.
If we were 1-8, our opponents' record would be 44-37, and be considered a tough schedule.

this is exactly right.....our opponents records are very indicative of how we play......there are easier ways to tell how tough our schedule is

watch the games

You tell 'em Euphoria. When the schedules were announced we were led to believe that we had a tough schedule...

10-4. I was about to post this as well. At the beginning of the season the Saints had one of the hardest "strength of schedules"'s in the league. AFC East. NFC East. Oh no!!! I figured that the Saints would have a couple of losses by now but now they've had an easy schedule and they're 9-0.
:whatever:

Rating the schedules is about as gay as power rankings...

most of the schedule is already pre-determine we can't help which teams suck. You're delt a schedule you deal with it.

actually, you probably know this, but i just thought it would be good to mention in response to this

league officials take very close looks at the schedules in the offseason and try to make every teams schedule of opponents as close to the rest of the league as possible....obviously some teams get tougher schedules and some teams get easier schedules but for the most part, they are as even as you could get considering each team is different every single year

They rotate your schedule its already pre-determine who you play years in advance. EXAMPLE this year:

DIVISION thats 6 games
NFC EAST 4 games
AFC EAST 4 games
That leaves only 2 teams they select us to play to maybe 'balance the schedule.

Essentially the worse team in the league could very well end up playing one of the hardest schedules of the year and there isn't anything you can do about it except add Lions and Rams to their schedule, LMAO. I really don't call that taking a close look at it.

sounds kind of like us huh?

we ended up playing the rams and the lions to maybe even out our schedule?

it is very possible and i remember reading somewhere that it takes a long time to even out the schedules as best as possible.....with my luck i'll never find it again but i will at least try so i dont look like a total dumbass
