Is drew struggling?
 

Idk if it's me bit I feel that drew seems to be struggling or hasn't been putting up the numbers. I understand thy we are a more balanced team now but I sorta feel as if drew has be anxious to get touchdowns.. If you look at those int's it seemed like a desperation throw where he wanted to get it out or maybe he wa pressured. JMO. What do you guys think?

He has cooled off a little since the first quarter of the season. He is still making some outstanding throws that only he can make, but on some plays looks like an average NFL QB. It's a byproduct of the offense being a little out of rhythm and the turnovers. We know that Drew works real hard, so I think it'll correct itself over time.

Yep, Drew is a little off right now. Remember that in the NFL things do have a tendency to balance it, I would call it a little bit of a rough stretch for an all world QB. I am not worried about Drew, and average Drew is still better than most of the other QB's in the league on their greatest day. He will bounce back into the elite category very shortly.

To me Brees and Payton sometimes get a little impatient. They both want the big play instead of taking what the defenses are allowing. Again this is my opinion and I'm in the stands not on the field.

It's hard to be perfect every game. Brees on a Bad day is better than most other quarterbacks in the NFL on their good days .

When you throw the ball as much as Drew does every season, you're bound to throw a few interceptions... that's just a given. He's on pace to do exactly what he's been doing for us the the last few seasons. Is he struggling? I wouldn't say so.

Drew will be fine. With the weapons we have and the balance we have, Im not worried. Drew's arm will remain strong this year.

thanks guys for your opinions. been really worried but i feel drew will bounce back i do agree to that.. well lets jsut play game by game and win.. i jsut read a thread about bush now thats a problem. i do wanna keep him although ive had some dislikes about him.. i really feel he is working hard and i like that.

It is unbelievable...can't we find a common middle ground?

You make some very valid points...I still haven't allowed myself to say we'll win or even play in the SB even though most of us have high expectations for the Saints. It does seem to be one extreme or the other. BTW I have to add, It's not are we a Dynasty(that would be stupid) the question was are we built to be a Dynasty? Man I sure got some flack for that question.:rolleyes:

... aahh it was 1986... I was sitting at the bar at TJ Quill's, waiting on some friends so we could hit the Riviera Club in Fat City, enjoying a Long Island Iced Tea, listening to American Pie play on the jukebox... out of nowhere Cherrie (who was a friend but, you know... ) sits next to me, face looks sad... some dude had told her she had a big butt, and obviously she needed some reassurance as to her attractiveness, and she was VERY attractive... she plain asks me if I thought she had a big butt, and the idiot that I am I replied "compared to what?" Needless to say...

.. so, yeah, is Drew struggling? Compared to what?
To the Drew that we have known since 2006, yeah, maybe a bit... although he had a very rough start last year.
To the rest of the league, he's still far better "struggling" than most QBs in the NFL.

Drew is in a "Tiger Slump"...which still has him Top-3 most every week. He's still throwing TD's and hitting guys in stride. He worked out whatever was making him flat-foot Reggie the last couple of weeks, he'll work out the Shockey connection and the rest too. He'll look like his old self again when Lance Moore comes back. Everything will open up like a spring lilly.

Sure he's struggling, just like Manning and Brady. Both of them threw
terrible interceptions Sunday night.

Drew is definitely in slump but will bounce back very soon. Im just glad hes in a slump now and not in the playoff's. He is human after all. I thought for a minute that he was from out of space :)

Slump ...... No a little off yes, maybe. How many of those interceptions have been tipped balls. I think he misses Lance Moore. If Colston hold on to a few of the dropped passes, then no he's not in a slump.

yeah drew does miss lance. and colston i think is affected by his wrist well thats my opinion.
