Sharper?
Is there any idea when Sharper will be back? Having said that what are the chances when he does come back to play Osama Young at CB until Greer and Porter get back. I just don't think Randall Gay is getting it done . . . burnt too many times Sunday and TB and NE will exploit that weakness. Especially with Randy Moss.

Re: Sharper?
we'll find out Thursday.
not sure why the weekly injury report does not come out before then, but you never seem to hear anything before the league requires it. Yes, we've stumbled through a couple of games, but think of where we'll be when Ellis, Fujita, Greer, and Sharper are all out there together. And hopefully Porter also. |

Re: Sharper?
Meanwhile, Payton and Greer are hopeful Greer will be able to return for Sunday's game at Tampa Bay.
"I do feel good (about returning this week)," Greer said. "We are going to continue to monitor it. The guys in the training room are doing a good job of getting me prepared, so hopefully we can knock this thing out and get back out there and play." |
Re: Sharper?
We desperately need Sharper back leading the defense. His leadership is something that you can't play down. Young did fairly well but, he's no field General. We have a fairly easy schedule and should allow our players to heal before putting them back in and risking reinjuring themselves.

Re: Sharper?
On the injury front, a couple defensive starters could return on Sunday when the Saints travel to Tampa Bay to play another one-win team. Greer said he was optimistic he could return. Sharper already has practiced since hurting his knee but decided to rest in St. Louis. Ellis has missed three games and Payton said recently that he should return soon, though he did not specify whether he'd be back this week.

Sharp and Greer will be back this Sunday. Dont ask for a link. I have insider info... unless something happens and they get hurt in practice this week. God lets hope not.

Yes. Field General. I think him being on the field will improv everyone's performance. Even Gay. |
