Saints cut Ki-Jana Carter, Sloan, Gardner, Kelly, Woodbury August 31, 2003 The New Orleans Saints have released 15 players, waived/injured two players and placed safety Mel Mitchell on injured reserve, General Manager Mickey Loomis said. The Saints must trim their roster to comply with the NFL's mandate that all clubs have a maximum of 53 players on their roster by 3 p.m. CT today. The 15 players released includes FB Jeremy Allen, DT Kendrick Allen, WR Talman Gardner, G Peter Heyer, WR Kareem Kelly, G Scot Osborne, G Melvin Paige, DE John Schlecht, CB B.J. Tucker, C Terence Wagner, DE Greg White, QB Tory Woodbury, RB Ki-Jana Carter, T Scott Sanderson, TE David Sloan. The Saints also waived/injured DT Jovon Bush and QB Chris Finlen.
