No respect from nfl gameday

On the NFL Gameday Highlights great coverage of Favre, Broncos, Packers, Patriots and Colts and even two 1-8 teams The Lions and The Browns. When it comes to the 10-0 Saints maybe 30 seconds of highlights. Also Terry Bradshaw predicted the Bucs to upset The Saints on the Fox broadcast. There goes my respect for him out the window again.

I saw that. Terry ate his words. He was trying to pull an upset out the air and hope it lands. During the highlights and discussion of the game the rest of the guys were laughing at Terry.

Sometimes, they make analysts pick against a team they usually choose on purpose to prevent it from looking like bias. Everyone knows that Terry Bradshaw is a Saints fan. Was a good opportunity for him to show that he is being neutral in his picks, especially with the Saints struggling.

My roommate's Tivo recorded NFL Sunday Countdown. The Colts got a massive discussion (1:12-1:19) while the Saints got 3 minutes (1:27-1:30). If that's not disrespect I don't know what is. Not to mention that the Colts got a few minutes in the beginning. It took them an hour and a half to do more than mention the Saints apart from injury news.

Guys, not that it matters one whit, but the Pats will be our first real test this season. We haven't faced an experienced qb with a multi-faceted attack with a solid defense yet. No props until we pass a big milestone

Yes .... that's what I keep telling my wife ..... nothing would better than to do a Fifty Burger on the Pats. I got a feeling the saints will get plenty of motivation come Monday night.

Yeah Xan when we beat Eli they started to look at us then we shot around the NFC South with not much notice. Beating The Pats would be a major hit for us, truly will be our toughest test.

NBC's Football Night in America has to be my least favorite coverage. Dan Patrick is silly these days and can't stand watching him and Olberman gush over each other...

And did we really need the in depth analysis of the Pat's 4th down call AGAIN??!!

Re: No respect from nfl gameday

The Pats are a national mindshare game. The media has elephatine memory. As two examples, they still talk about the Saints/Falcons reopening after Katrina. Also the last mindshare game was the 2007 opener against Indy. Remember how Jason David completely f'ed that up.

In the NFC the media will talk about that Kiln dude because he has a SB championship (1996!) and went to the NFC championship game a scant 2 years ago. Until they are knocked out, they will be the story no matter what the Saints do.

But a sound beating of the Pats, especially after Idny strugged with them a couple of week ago would go a long way to turning the tide.

It's funny. From a playoff standpoint it's the most unimportant game left on out schedule. But from a mindshare standpoint, it's the most important non playoff game we'll play this season.

Think of it as a mini SB. One of the best in the AFC. National game all to our lonesome. SB contenders late in the season. One with an undefeated record. Both teams with a lot on the line.

The Saints need to shine in this one to capture attention.

Don't worry. You'll be seeing all Saints/Pats all the time for the next week.

The media is fixated on the AFC powers and Favre. Let them take the brunt of the spotlight, the Saints will lie in weeds like a swamp gator.

I like the national coverage. Indy gets covered even when they play nobodies. Farve gets covered when he goes to take a dump.

The Saints are not there yet. Shining in the National Spotlight and winning the SB will change that.

Well not exactly. The Saints for the last few weeks have been trotted out for the "Who is the best team in the NFC" argument. No real interest in who they are playing, just the fact that they are undefeated with the ViQueens nipping at their heels.

That changes this week, at least for a week. Beat the Pats and it may change permanently for the season was the wins continue to roll up.

I agree 100%. If we beat the Pats on MNF, everyone will be forced to drink the koolaid!

We're gaining respect each week with some good come from behind wins and finding a way to win each week. The Saints are 10-0 baby. Soon the Black and Gold led by Drew Brees will be all people can talk about.

Maybe we can pitch in and buy Terry a toupee, haircut, or a razor to fix that mess. The only respect I want is at the end of this season when we win the big one. Then this Saints team cannot be denied any longer.

Look guys and gals it just adds fuel to the fire of the Saints Players and Coaches. For those who played any kind of organized ball or some of you even unorganized ball know that if you hear the other team or someone talking crap about you it just makes you want to beat their arses even more. Fuel to the fire and I hope they keep it coming. They won't have rednecks they'll have red arses after the arse whippins we be handin out. I've got a Superbowl ticket to buy, I'm out!

So, if an NFL host picks decides to pick an upset against our Saints, you lose respect for the man?

Heck, I came pretty close to picking the Bucs in an upset myself.
