Redskins await vengeance-minded Williams, now a Saint

Williams likely to be fired up vs. 'Skins, who spurned him after '07

Gregg Williams facing his old team: New Orleans' defensive coordinator has received much of the credit for his unit's resurgence this year, and he is also the original architect of Washington's defense. He left the Redskins following the 2007 season when the team overlooked him for the head-coaching job, so he is familiar with many of Washington's players. That may help him in concocting a game plan to stymie an offense that has played better in recent weeks.

LaRon Landry's discipline: The Redskins' safety has the physical ability and talent to be a Pro Bowl caliber player, but he has been prone to make mistakes while looking for the highlight-reel hit. If he gets caught out of position against the Saints, Drew Brees will make him pay dearly.

Liked you at LSU, bub, but you are the enemy now. I hope you get burned more than Michael Jackson's hair filming a Pepsi commercial.

Yeah Landry was on the radio today saying he knows how to beat The Saints.
Gregg Williams will be on his game for this one I think this is his Super Bowl. I do agree the weather will not be ideal here and Drew is not a fan of cold weather. But it will be nothing like the frozen Tundra of Chicago, he will be okay.

The frozen tundra in Chicago wasn't the problem that day. The Saints had two mindset issues that have since been resolved:

1) Run the ball at all costs. Deuce had 12 rushes that day in Chicago. The 2009 Saints would run the ball anyway even if it were a 9 man front.

2) Be aggressive on defense. Remember that the 2006 Saints defense was the Gibbs "read and react" defense. The 2009 Saints defense will get after you at all costs.

Two changes in mindset. A completely different team.

Even if the tundra is frozen.

They've played in the cold before, no problem.

Drew doesn't like the cold? He played in Lafayette Indiana, it's been in the 20's all day. I think he's played a game or two in the cold.

Game time forcast at FedEx field Sunday at 1pm eastern 40 degrees, light wind 8mph, no chance of percipitation. Weather shouldn't be a factor.

That's perfect football, no doubt. I think we all know & agree that as long as we don't have to play in SNOW, we'll be just fine!!!
Now tha wait... I know most people look at this game as if it's no big deal or meen's nothing at all, but there WRONG, very WRONG. Them dang (VICKING'S) are right on our heal's, so we CAN'T slip up at all if we want to play them for the "Conference Title in N.O." Another thing is that (G. William's) would LOVE for nothing more than to head over to D.C. & {{ Back-hand, Bust'em up & Stomp'em while there down }}
LoL, or may i just say it G-Dub style... {{ Knock'em tha ???? out }}
??? NEED I SAY ANYMORE ??? :handguns: :help:Im SORRY, plz don't KILL me!!!

Exactly....And to name a few more.

Colston played college ball in New York, Jahri Evans in Pennsylvania, Johnathan Goodwin in Michigan, Carl Nicks in Nebraska, Jermon Bushrod in Maryland, Zach Strief at Northwestern, Shockey played with the Giants, Pierre Thomas at Illinois, etc., etc.

They have several players that have played in the cold before. It won't be anything new to them. As someone said on this board before, the only team that can beat the Saints right now are the Saints themselves.
