Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm not exactly new here but I've been mostly lurking. I used hang out here a few years ago but back in those days there were a couple of posters who dominated the board with a never ending flame war so I migrated over to SaintsReport.com. Unfortunately the place has gotten too big for it's own good and is now filled with trolls and idiots and your posts tend to get lost in the clutter. It's a shame because there are a lot smart friendly posters there. I just can't stand wading through the ugliness anymore. So I've been finding myself here a lot more lately.

Anyway, I'm a hardcore Saints junkie and have been since 1967 when I was there for John Gilliam's opening day KO return for a touchdown. Drew Brees has recently become my favorite Saints player ever, replacing Ricky Jackson who replaced Doug Atkins.

I tend to be a little on the pessimistic side when it comes to the Saints but the Giants game cured me of that. Now I'm super excited and really believe for the first time that we're heading for the Super Bowl.

What's the big difference in this team? Payton and Brees have turned this into a team that thrives in the spotlight. The Dome Patrol teams had a bad habit of folding in the clutch. Not these guys! The bigger the game the more they shine!

Welcome Boutte. This place is made of asbestos. pretty much flame-proof, and trolls get fed to the gators. You'll of course miss the "intellectual discourse," (ha!!!!) but you can relax, be yourself, and talk,
Saints, Gulf Coast life, etc.
