Hello From a New Member

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I recently made the move too. This seems a little cozier....

I am a new member as well... just made the move here as well. There are a lot of great people over at SR, but ultimately I just can't take the amount of people calling fellow posters bandwagoners, unfaithful, etc. which is why I originally moved there from the official boards back in the day.

I've lurked here a bit and it seems like the mods here do a great job of keeping the overall mood in check here.

I still post over at SR and have done so for years, but I've just started to post here b/c I've become increasingly disenchanted with the Reggie Bush mafia over there. Any poster who offers constructive criticism of his play is lumped in as a "hater" and flamed by dozens of posters. I noticed a thread here on how Payton got upset with Bush not making the first down at the end of the first half of the Skins game, and I was impressed at how objective and rational the discussion of that incident was.

Well, I mean, people can cheer for the same team and have different opinions about stuff. I personally like Reggie but know he's not without some criticism. Of first round draft picks he's a rare player who actually has contributed to the team.

Having said that, this site is just not into "mafias", coalitions or whatever. We're Saints fans. Welcome aboard.

I want Reggie to do well, to be great. I loved his performance in the Rams game. If not for injuries, I think he'd be one of the impact players in the league. See, that's the funny thing. I don't think there really are very many Reggie "haters" out there. The key is for people to be able to speak their mind as long as they keep what they're saying in the bounds of decency and not be attacked unnecessarily and irrationally.

Honestly, you're right, the guy has been hurt every season since his rookie year. He's kinda small for the NFL...

But we'll leave that for another thread. Again, welcome and welcome to all the new members on this thread.
