Are We exposed?

clearly stated... are we? i was scared to be honest.. props to the skins though... but i have a feeling teams will be cocky challenging us.. so what do you think?

Re: Are We exposed?

Yeah, we have been exposed as a team that wins on its worst day.

.. teams have been cocky since the Giants game, and all those teams they are going to play down the stretch that have no chance to make the playoffs, they will be cocky for the rest of the season. Expect the Falcons to be cocky, the Bucs to be cocky, the Pukes to be cocky, the Panthers to be cocky.

Re: Are We exposed?

We have been exposed as having 4 key defensive starters out, with 2 street free agents plugged in with a rookie.

Re: Are We exposed?

Naw...not really. Washington played out of their heads today on offense and defense, plus it was on the road where they play well. They have been playing well the last couple of weeks, and they brought their A++ game today. Our guys (especially on D) could not stop them, but that can be expected with 3 of our top corners and a starting LB out today.

It was not the best day for our guys, but plays like what Meachem made today is why they are undefeated. Even with taking away our run game, there's not many if any D in the league that take away both in the same game. We just met up with a team with nothing to lose that played lights out for 3 1/2 quarters on the road in a cold environment. Today was even guttier than the MIA win.

Thank you, Suisham...without that miss, we were sunk. It was only a matter of time when our guys played in a game like today. A little luck and some breaks and we capitalized...mark of a good team.

Re: Are We exposed?

I don't think so. But with that defense I am one happy camper that Washington won't be participating in playoff activity.

Re: Are We exposed?

No one exposed themselves during the game. Coach may have reached for a boog in the 3rd quarter but he pulled his finger back pretty quick.

Re: Are We exposed?

Skins have a solid D. Their QB has an arm and can be great.

To be Champs you have to win games like that.

12-0 and you guys are doubting???

The Redskin fans feel exposed, I predict bags over their heads for the remaining games to make them feel less exposed, plus it will help keep them warm.

Re: Are We exposed?

I think MM was exposed and Jenkins had a horrible game, Missed a ton of tackles-got burned repeatedly. They picked on Jenkins most of the game. Fujita was missed.

DOnt think it can be referred to as exposed, but its obvious we are lackin without some key players in.

You guys under estimate Washington to much. They have talent a D built by Williams. A QB with a great arm. We played on a wet field conditions that didn't favor us in the least bit. We came off a huge win. We were due for a let down but Champs find ways to win.

And we did it in a short week.

Re: Are We exposed?

I think the only thing that got exposed today was that we're not a very deep team right now. With all of the injuries, we're not playing the best ball that we can play. Obviously the injuries in the secondary hurt, we were playing without the first three cornerbacks on our week 1 depth chart.

With Fujita out again, and Marvin Mitchell not with the team, we had to put Troy Evans in there when Dunbar got hurt. Evans, as good as he is on special teams, is a huge liability on defense.

The point is, when we're completely healthy, I don't know if anybody can beat us. But if we're missing a third of our starting defense, I'm not sure how good we'll be against a really good team.

I'm not really worried because Greer, Porter, and Gay should all be back by at least playoff time, and when they come back, I think we'll be fine. But right now, yeah, I think we're a little exposed as not being very deep.

that wet field really hurt..saw lots of slips by the defense..thtas why we want home field..

fujita out really hurt and when dunbar went down..really hurt..is derick brooks still available?

I agree completely. Let's not forget that last's years game was lost because a rookie (Porter) got burned late in the game.

This is not the defense you will see for the three games in the playoffs, so I don't think there was any exposure.

Re: Are We exposed?

a lot of great points were made here-

the foreSkins played a great game, we still have a patchwork defense, wet field, etc, etc.

Replay today's game with Fujita and Greer out there and we don't give up 30 points

Mac & Mac got a little more comfortable with Williams' D, Drew proved he can win in the cold, we have a kicker now, and oh yeah, WE'RE TWELVE AND OHHHHHHHH!

We're absolutely exposed.

All you have to do to scare us is line up against us with a great D line on a wet field.

My thoughts exactly .... I posted something about Derrick Brooks in another thread .... Well is he available? We need some quality LB's in the worst way!

The wet field and cold conditions definitely were somewhat of an equalizer ... Good thing it will likely be the last time we play under those conditions until Miami!

Re: Are We exposed?

We've been exposed as a team that never gives up, makes the most of it's opportunities and finds any way possible to win a football game.

12-0 baby and we will be getting defensive starters back healthy by the end of the season.

With the Vikings losing tonight we are one game closer to securing home field advantage through the playoffs.

Re: Are We exposed?

They pressured Drew all day on a sloppy field surface and went after our makeshift secondary. I don't know how in the world we came out of there with a win but we did. Also The Colts are winning come form behind close games and they are heavy with injuries as well. Drew said it best on post game that we have been on the other side of these games more than our share of times.

Re: Are We exposed?

DB's played too far off of the receivers because of the wet field and Cambell took advantage of it. Don't think we will see that again.

Re: Are We exposed?

Fantastic win, but it is disturbing that the Skins came so close to pulling out the upset. It only takes one loss in the playoffs and the season is over.

Hopefully the team can get healthy and will be healed for the playoffs!

Just looked on NFL.com and Brooks was not listed as an active player.

Something to think about.

My favorite "It only takes one loss in the playoffs" REALLY!!!!??? are you telling me we don't play double elimination anymore!!!????? Since when?? Call the newspapers, tv...

Face it, this is rarified air SAINTS fans. This team has and IS doing everything we fans have ever dreamed of them doing. No matter what the outcome, we'll look back at this AMAZING year and think "Man what a ride!!!."
