Clock Management and Challanges

How about this? Sean Payton winning challanges; and GREAT use of times out just before the two-minute warning with the Skins inside the Saints 10. And the Skins missed chip shot just after the two-minute warning: PRICELESS!

Sean didn't make any challenges.

No, but still, those initiated by the Skins, and the official replays, went in the Saints' favor.

Great change of pace there.

Yeah but Sean doesn't get credit for that. I think the key to it all was not making challenges and save your time outs. I do think the guy in the booth was a Saints fan though LOL>

He should get credit for taking the time out just before the skins ran the next play so they would have time to initiate a review.

What was funny was Payton on Sirius this morning. He said his wife wants him to sew the challenge flag in his pocket. And like he said, he had to call that TO to get the booth to review that play. He sounded a littled miffed that he had to call TO and then it still took the booth 20 additional seconds before they decided to review it.

I loved it in OT when Zorn called a timeout to ice the kicker. Then we had extra time to set up our offense and run a play - presumably a run play to set the ball up on the middle of the field to get Hartley between the hashes. Then we run Mike Bell to the right and pick up 10+ yards!

Another clock management strategy, don't use your timeouts, entice your opponent into using his!

I'll sew his challenge flag for him if it'll keep him from throwing it...heck I had home ec in high school.
