Falcons' Ryan sits out practice, unlikely to play
FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. -- Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan sat out another practice because of a toe injury, making it increasingly unlikely he'll be able to play against the unbeaten New Orleans Saints.
While Ryan went through a walkthrough, which wasn't open to the media, he wasn't even at the indoor practice facility for the 2½-hour workout. Still, coach Mike Smith said the team isn't ready to say for sure that Ryan won't play Sunday. Chris Redman ran the first-team offense. Ryan hurt the big toe on his right foot in a Nov. 29 victory over Tampa Bay. He sat out last weekend's game against Philadelphia, along with four other offensive starters, and the Falcons (6-6) lost 34-7 to severely damage their playoff hopes. Matt Ryan of Atlanta Falcons sits out another practice with toe injury - ESPN NOW we can't lose this game or we'll never hear the end of it. |

Re: Falcons' Ryan sits out practice, unlikely to play
Since our starting CBs won't be playing, it would sure help if the Turds' starting QB won't be playing.

Re: Falcons' Ryan sits out practice, unlikely to play
Is it just me or are we playing our worse football to teams with no respect in the league. But when we play good teams we play better

Re: Falcons' Ryan sits out practice, unlikely to play
.. a turf toe may not sound like much, but mechanics are everything for a QB. If Ryan plays, he's going to basically be throwing the ball off his back foot all day.

If you compare the Patsies game to the Skins game... that's about right. |
