Name for this season?
 

I've been thinking about this for a couple of weeks now. I'm wondering what pundits, fans, and NFL historians will call the 2009 season with regard to the Saints. With all the nicknames flying around in the league, I'm sure we're headed for one, but what will it be?

I've been trying to push "The Holy Season." I've been saying it for weeks and tried to get it into NFL.com live chats to that people see it. No luck with that thus far.

What do the rest of you think?

I think it's 3 games to early to name it. Let's at least get past the Cowgirls.

If we don't win it all we'll be just another great team that didn't finish the deal.

I just can't help but dream of the 19-0 season now.

Arguably the most pathetic franchise in NFL history becomes the 1st team to go 19-0.

I get choked up just thinking about it.

seems too religious-
fits the team name but not really representative of the fans, the Quarter, or the state everyone will be in Saturday night

Do you guys use that "WINNING IS A BREES" banner?

We had that.
When Drew made a big passing play, they'd play a part of that Lynyrd Skynyrd song "They call me the Brees." That part that goes "Wooooooo hoo hoo... Mr. Brees!"

Agreed- maybe it's our complacency from all of the winning- nothing to b**** about, so we are creating polls & superstitions and naming seasons

maybe we could call it "Shut up and Enjoy"

No matter how the story ends it will be the 2009 season. Yeah I'm a little nervous about creating a name with a remote chance of jinxing what is happening. As it is, now on game-day I do everything the same each week.

Some people even name their private parts. To me, it will always be the fantastic 09 season, in honor of the year and the QB's number.

Agreed too early but for me after 40+ years of being at the butt of many jokes, paper bags and criticism this year,for me, is a season of vindication.

I completely agree!!! Lets just wait & see what happens & come up with catchy names later!!
