Re: Saints may finally have formula for Bush
Do yourself a favor and stop expecting Bush to be the second coming –- and more –- of Deuce McAllister. If anything, Bush is more like the second coming of Terry Metcalf, the triple threat (runner, receiver and return man) with the St. Louis Cardinals back in the 1970s and with the Washington Redskins in 1981.
This is what I've been saying all along and he will be back with less $$$ |

Re: Saints may finally have formula for Bush
Bush is under contract until after the 2011 season. Next year will be uncapped so there is no cap hit.
So there's really nothing to discuss until after the offseason next year, and that's only if somehow the NFL and the NFLPA have come up with a new CBA. After 2010 we'll all be talking about the potential lockout, not Bush's status with the Saints. SFIAH |
Re: Saints may finally have formula for Bush
Yesterday on NFL Network they were doing a Saints marathon with replays of this season's games with Miami, Washington, and Pats. After seeing all those highlights Reggie's contribution becomes more apparent. This guy is beast in the redzone.

Reggie refuses to be denied the endzone. & at the end of the day, points are the most important stat for offensive players. Plus, warranted by production or not, Bush sells tickets & jerseys. Which I bet from Benson's perspective is the best reason to pay him a ton more than Mike Bell.
