I think it is time to address those who keep talking about the "classless" move Eli made back in '04. Essentially you are calling Archie out when you smack Eli for his decision. It was Archie's advice to Eli...not something Eli just pulled out of thin air. There was history.

I was in SoCal during the draft that involved Peyton and Leaf, and there were some pretty harsh comments made regarding Peyton, his ability to play football, and the Mannings in general...and it was all to justify their decision not to move up to get Peyton and to stay put and draft Leaf. That's the kind of organization Archie was trying to advise his kid to stay away from if all possible.

It really irks me that people go around saying, "He is dissing the NFL when he decides he doesn't want to play for whoever drafts him." I call "BS" on you people, because you know in your heart that if you are in a position to call the shots in your career, you are going to do it and you are not going to worry about what other people think about your decision, because, after all, it is you who has to go-on living your life.

Whether you think you can or think you can't...you're right!
