Nomo mojo
What ever it was we used it all up. Since the NE game there is nothing special about this team. They can't tackle. Second rate QBs look like All Pros. They drop TD passes, miss chip shot game winning FGs and get DOMINATED by losing football teams.
You can flame me all you want or stick your head in the sand but this team is BIG trouble. The sky IS falling. |
Re: Nomo mojo
Oh I agree. Our defense looks like the D of old. Can't stop a soul. All they did was run on us in overtime, pretty much. That's a sign. And honestly, I think the Saints have just been figured out.

Re: Nomo mojo
Dallas exposed our weakness's all game, and you will see the rest of the leauge doing the same for here on out. What a shame,
we dont win next week and we lose first playoff game. this blows |
Re: Nomo mojo
We got lucky a lot earlier in the season. Everything went our way so much so that when we played crappy ball (Miami, Atlanta, Carolina, St. Louis, Washington, etc.) we still came out on top. To me it doesn't like this team has learned how to win, but rather depends on getting lucky.
Got to say that this season is shaping up to be the most disappointing in Saints history as after that amazing run, we're likely going to lose the first playoff game. I keep drinking more and more beer but strangely it's not making me feel any better..... |
Re: Nomo mojo
The honeymoon is over fellas. I'm proud of what they accomplished this season but we are not playing post-season ball. What happened during halftime? It wasn't the same team. I am so upset.

Re: Nomo mojo
I`m done, I am not getting my heart broken like the 07 season. I will believe the Saints will not win another game until next year. If they prove me wrong great, but I have seen to many seasons in the past to hold on to hope that they will turn it around.

Re: Nomo mojo
It's the offense guys - sorry. We score 0 points in the last 3 quarters? The defense caused to's, sacks, and 4th down stops.
Sorry, we let off the gas on O. |
Re: Nomo mojo
if we keep playing like this we aint going anywhere in the postseason, offense was asleep in the 2nd half

I am feeling the hurt now. I will be feeling the hurt right until next year. Cos this team looks like it is going no place just now.

Re: Nomo mojo
It's not just the offense. We lost this game in all 3 phases. However, I agree that the offense's performance today was the most disappointing. To score TDs on your first two drives and then do next to nothing the rest of the game in your own home stadium against a 2-12 team? This team looks awful. We only hit one deep pass the whole game, the TD to Meachem. After that, Brees looked lost much of the time. Their blitz was disrupting our passing game. After the first quarter and a half, our blitz did nothing to Freeman. We also couldn't run the ball once PT went out. We've lost our offensive mojo and our defense is being shredded. We definitely don't have the horses to defend the run. If we don't get Greer back, forget about defending the pass. Teams are using Washington's offensive game plan: run on us, hit the short passes in the flat, throw over the middle on third downs, and go down the field incrementally taking time off the clock, keeping our offense off the field, and scoring touchdowns. At this point, I don't know that Greer is going to have as big an impact when he returns as I was expecting. And if our offense doesn't light it up, forget it.

http://i2.ytimg.com/vi/yHy3RnNz9bA/default.jpg This is not the same team from the first of the year . . . the team that got beat today does not deserve HFA, #1 seed or being in the playoffs. If this team goes to the playoffs it will be 1 and out! Terry Bradshaw, in the post game, summed it up "If you are a good team you do not lose at home." |
Re: Nomo mojo
Other teams have us figured out now, especially the screen passes. The defense doesn't do well against bigger backs, as Vilma saw last week hitting Barber. Deangelo Williams will be carrying the ball 30 times next week and when the play action pass comes Steve Smith will be open.

Re: Nomo mojo
What the HELL is wrong with COLSTON anyway? For such a big guy, he's a WIMP when he goes for the ball! He doesn't fight for the ball, he doesn't use his size to shield or fight off the defenders and with hands that big, how in the hell do you keep dropping balls. He's made a career of dropping TD's over the last 2 years for crying out loud. Meachem can take his place on this team and we can move AA up and trade this clown that pulls his dissappearing acts when he's needed most. That friends is NOT a #1 receiver. Maybe we should re-sign Joe Horn, at least he's got heart and some fight in him.
