I don't care what anyone says.
After 2005, there was a time when I didn't know if my favortie team was going to be around anymore.
I'll back in... button hook, side swipe, limp... whatever to get the no. 1 seed.
No matter what we were the best team in the NFC this season.
That's right the Aints!!!!

Maybe Farve needs to change his number from 4 to 11.

He seems to be good for 11 games a season now...

Re: Minnesota Meltdown Gives Saints Home Field Advantage in Playoffs

I just read through all these posts and laughed my butt off. I didn't even come to the boards through the entire game. I was way too busy cussing at my television until the Peterson fumble....then I cussed for joy.

Sean Peyton needs to send each of the Chicago Bears and Lovie Smith engraved Rolex watches with a nice little "thank you" note.

And someone needs to send Brett Favre a new pack of Depends, because "Ooops, he crapped his pants" after this loss. I hope he wears looser Wranglers on the flight back to Minnesota to hold all that "excess baggage".

Fixed that for ya. Although we're more like the 12th AND 13th man.

Re: Minnesota Meltdown Gives Saints Home Field Advantage in Playoffs

Thanks, Bears! I missed the game, but felt like I saw it after reading this thread:) I still want us to beat the crap out of Carolina & give Arizona & Green Bay no more film on our weaknesses. I'm sure they'll rest Brees in the 2nd half, so come Brunel. Make Payton right about cutting Joey.

F**k the Bears and the Viking they rode in on. I don't want them fixing stuff for us. I have complete confidence that our boys would have gotten the job done against Carolina.

Sticky this thread! Its a classic.

We halfazz watched most of the game, while unpacking from the New Orleans weekend & Christmas. I'm one of 4 remaining people who like Brett Favre, but I'm tired of his act too. I hate the Bears and want to throw pi$$balls back at their fans, but of course I want home field advantage. So I just dont know. I didnt watch the OT.

But I'll take home field. We dont have to feel like we "backed" into anything, as 13 wins is a huge season. best season we ever had.

I watched this game as if the Saints were playing ... my eyes were glued to my tv and I was actually cheering for their defense like I do for our guys. My fiance thought I was insane cause it wasn't the Saints but like I told her, it involves the Saints. The playoffs make for strange bed fellows ... now back to my regularly scheduled hate for the Bears and everything Chicago

Re: Minnesota Meltdown Gives Saints Home Field Advantage in Playoffs

Wow! No wonder this team is called the Saints, because someone up there is looking out for this Saints team!
We play a terrible game against the Bucs and STILL get homefield advantage.
Thanks Bears! We owe you one!
We now have everything in our favour, lets hope the Saints can take advantage and play like they did against the Pats when we play of first playoff game.
Nice to think also, that the game against the Panthers is not important anymore and Coach Payton can choose to play or not play who he wants.
GEAUX SAINTS!!!!!!!!!!!

Like the Saints the Vikes found a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

Re: Minnesota Meltdown Gives Saints Home Field Advantage in Playoffs

Ya know, life is an amazing thing. I was ready to set myself on fire yesterday, and now, I don't feel "as bad", about losing. If you look at it, every NFC team in the play offs this year, has laid some eggs, so to speak. So my optimism has definately taken a turn for the better. Thank you Bears.... Now I gotta wash my mouth out....

Think Buddy D. has talked him into wearing a dress yet?

reminds me--- saw an art piece on Royal St.--- pic of Buddy D... with a halo and a big shiny dress--- and it said "2010."

I actually want to play the viqueens in the playoff's. I think we would kick their ass espically with Greer and Porter healthy. Gun slinger Favre will throw pics all day. I just hope our run D will have improved by then.
