New Orleans Saints injury report: cornerback Jabari Greer is probable
By Nakia Hogan, The Times-Picayune January 01, 2010, 1:36PM After sitting out the last seven games with a sports hernia, it appears Saints starting left cornerback Jabari Greer will finally return to the playing field. Greer, who had surgery to repair his injury on Dec. 8, has practiced the last two weeks on a limited basis and he is listed as probable for Sunday's game at Carolina, a good sign that he'll be in the lineup. While Greer is likely to play, three of his teammates have been officially ruled out of the game. Tailback Pierre Thomas (ribs), receiver Lance Moore (ankle), safety Usama Young (sports hernia) will not play. Five players are listed as questionable: defensive tackle Sedrick Ellis (knee) tight end Jeremy Shockey (toe), defensive end Bobby McCray (back), linebacker Jonathan Vilma (knee) and safety Darren Sharper (knee). Vilma and McCray did not practice on Friday. Six players besides Greer are listed as probable: tight end Darnell Dinkins (foot), long snapper Jason Kyle (back), guard Jahri Evans (foot), offensive tackle Jermon Bushrod (wrist), tailback Lynell Hamilton (shoulder) and cornerback Randall Gay (concussion). And two are listed as doubtful: linebacker Scott Shanle (concussion) and tight end David Thomas (calf). Shanle was limited in practice and Thomas sat out of drills. |
Re: jabari greer probable vs panthers
Happy he'll be back-
Concern is at TE, with Shockey quest. and Thomas doubtful. More concerned about someone else getting hurt because our 3rd string TE is blocking. |
Re: jabari greer probable vs panthers
that's all fine and dandy, but, dont play him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
let the man that used to be "mcnasty" play corner for one more game. .......................and regarding the player formerly known as mcnasty...ok, i was all over his nuts after the new england game. his only flaw in that game (a missed tackle) has become a glaring weakness in his game. he USED to be an incredible open feild tackler. now he just dives at the player w/ that ball like a retarded fish out of water. he doesnt put his arms out to try to wrap up. he just dives at them! wtf is that shiite! grrr...come on mike, what'd you do w/ mcnasty? your bad knees have nothing to do w/ your poor tackling this season, so get it together, man!!!!! |
Re: jabari greer probable vs panthers
Woo-hooo for 32 Jabari Greer. We need him big time.
I presume 57 Jason Kyle did his back in on special teams play. Who covers at LS if he doesn't make it? That could make our FG attempts a little more interesting, not! So is Reggie available? |
Re: jabari greer probable vs panthers
