Preseason told it like it is
 

This game made it totaly clear that the team we saw in the preseason was no shackled vanilla version it was what we are.. The same caliber of play was witnessed and this time it counted. Sloppy play, mistakes, penalities and turnovers, the Saints offense had it all and none of it was good. The lone positive on that side of the ball was the play of Conwell and one can't fault Duece either. The defense was yeilding because of very familiar play. The poor tackling, little pressure on the QB and confused secondary showed little improvement from earlier just as mourbid efforts.

This team put forth a confused and inept effort aginst an opponent that was more than enough prepared. The worst of it was we were physically beaten as well. The Hawks supposed weak secondary dominated and intimidated us. Some running room was opened but pass protection was spotty at best. The play of Tebucky Jones must improve dramatically and Bellamy is a weakness as well.

One can only hope for rapid improvement, because the team that played today would have trouble finding a way to win on any field in the league.
