Not that Drew needs extra motivation...

but I hope someone points out the NFL.com poll on MVP to him.

He's currently polling LAST.

I can't believe it!!! He gets so little respect and he is soooo much better than any of the others! He just finished the season with a 70.6, breaking the record that has been held since 1982. Unbelievable! When the Saints win the Super Bowl, all the Haters will have to give respect where it is due! Bet!

It is the typical Minny fan with no job scenario. Favre leading? Puuleeaasse.

What a joke? I'd like to play either Minny or Dallas in the NFCCG just to shut up all of their uneducated, redneck fans after the Saints roll them by 2 scores

Re: Not that Drew needs extra motivation...

lets see.....drew has the most TD passes of any Qb in the league

has the 11th least INTs of all starting QBs

and threw the 10th most passes of all QBs

that means that for every 47 pass attempts, he threw one INT

at one point in the season that was once every game and a half......now its about 1 per game

thats crazy numbers

he finished the season with the highest passer rating

2nd most yards per game behind matt schaub

3rd highest yards per attempt average

6th most yards

and highest completion percentage with 70.6%

luckily the MVP vote doesnt come down to the fans......because there isnt anything that any player did in the last 2 weeks that dropped drew out of the picture

he was the front runner before our losses and NO QB has outshined him since......by far the best player in the NFL this season and by far the league MVP

When evaluating MVP in my opinion EVERYTHING should be taken in to account. Stats...Leadership... VALUE TO THE COMMUNITY... Brees gets my vote hands down.

Irony is getting elected MVP of a team that did not want you there to begin with. The players gave him a cold welcome for a few games lol.. Way to go Farva and Team Ramrod.

alot of u who are upset are only being bias. there are other qbs who are jus as good as brees or also put up great numbers this year. as much as i love drew brees, i wont be totally outraged if he doesnt win MVP. jus my opinion

As long as he wins the Superbowl MVP, I'm a happy camper...

Drew is going to get the respect after the Saints go take it from who ever the fan favorite is at the moment. Hopefully, we finish the season healthy and clicking. Drew is going to lead this team deep in the playoffs and if we can keep him upright he could be Superbowl MVP.

Drew could make world peace happen and he still wouldn't get the MVP. He doesn't care about MVP, all he care's about is LOM-BAR-DI.

he's had like two games this year where he had as many td's as he did incompletions!

i know im a little bias

but comparing him to the other nominees shows just how much he deserves this award

peyton manning
brett favre
philip rivers
chris johnson

all had good seasons......all could've been MVPs in another year

however.....no team took a franchise that is one of the worst in any sport ever to a nearly undefeated season.....none of them led the league in TDs or passer rating

in fact....peyton manning didnt lead the league in any significant individual category......brett favre has the least INTs of any player eligible for MVP which in itself is a huge accomplishment for him...but nobody else on that list has the defense or running game that he has

rivers is a stud......hes going to be a star, but he just didnt do as well as brees this season and thats not a knock, just a compliment to how good drew did

chris johnson had a year that rivals some of the all time greats.....but his team didnt make the playoffs

the only one on that list capable of beating drew is manning, but the stats show that brees had a better year

for qbs u look at 5 major categories: completion pct, yards, tds, ints, qb rating, and 1 extra is they always take into consideration is how well their teams are doing. so its actually 6 things ppl look at when deciding the mvp.

PCT YARDS TDS INTS RATING
brees 70.6 4388 34 11 109.6
manning 68.8 4500 33 16 99.9
favre 68.4 4202 33 7 107.2
rivers 65.2 4254 28 9 104.4

yes brees led in 3 of the 5 categories, which no doubt speaks loudly for how great of a season he had, but the saints have slipped up at the end of the season and caused him to slip in the mvp running. manning had more yards of the qbs listed and only 1 td less than brees, and probably would have led his team to a perfect 16-0 regular season if he wasnt benched. favre's rating was jus below brees, 1 td less than brees, the least ints of any qb this year, and also gets bonus points jus because his name is BRETT FAVRE. and of course rivers had a good year also but hes behind statisically in almost all 5 categories, but hes in the discussion cuz hes led his team to 11 straight wins and a #2 seed in the afc. and he only threw 9 ints which is awesome

as for chris johnson, who had a record setting year with 2006 rushing yds and 503 recieving yds for a total of 2509 yds on offense, pretty much dug his team out of an 0-6 hole single handedly to finish 8-8.

this is why i cannot complain if brees doesnt win it, because u can make a legitiment argument for all 5 mvp canidates. VOTERS SEE THE SAINTS LOSING AND THEY THINK, HOW VALUABLE CAN BREES BE IF HIS TEAM IS LOSING OR SQUEEKING OUT WINS. THEY DONT TAKE TEAM INJURIES INTO CONSIDERATION WHEN MVP VOTING. of course id love nothin more tha to see brees win it because hes my boy and all, lol. i dont kno when the voting is, but if its after the SB, the mvp will probably go to which ever qb wins the SB, if at all any of them do win it.
