Hopefully this poll isn't so lame - with media talking about the three games we lost, I'd like to remember the 13 we won! Which win was most special to you, and why?

The Patriots game. The way Brees dissected the Patriots defense was a thing of beauty. The defense stepped up and kept Brady and Co. in check. Everything went right that game.....everything.

I thought the way we dismantled the New England Patriots was not only the game of the year but possibly the best game the Saints ever played. jmo I still get chills just thinking about it.:praise:

Overall, has to be the New England game, but to me the most impressive one was that comeback against Miami. It was a game that proved to never give up.

i was pumped that we won the miami game

just watched it on NFL replay a couple weeks ago

it was amazing.....all i remember is standing at softball...yelling at little girls more and more everytime i got an update on my phone telling me the saints are down another score

then as i was driving home i almost crapped my pants when my buddy texted me and told me we won

one of the best comebacks i have ever seen

the pats game is a close second but by far the best game of the season is the miami game

It IS the New England game!! It was the most anticipated Saints game ever. It was the second most watched Monday Night Football game ever (Second only behind Brette Farve's Vikes return to Green Bay). It was exciting. It was a perfect dismantling of what was percieved by the media as one of the best football teams ever. All the stars aligned perfectly that night. (By the way, they will realign on February 7th) In which case the New England Game will be the best game of the regular season, but the second best game of the season.

I was in Miami for that game. I can still remember how pissed I was at halftime. Paying a gazillion to fly in and watch our boys get dominated. Second half made up for it totally. Just the thing of seeing the Dolphin fans leave the stadium early and all you could hear was chants of GO SAINTS and WHO DAT. Magic!

I was in an airport trying to watch the Miami game on my pre with an iffy signal, otherwise maybe that game, but since I didn't get to watch most of it, and since I saw every play of the whuppin we put on the Patriots, I'll go with week 12.

definately the new england game! i hadn't been that excited about a monday night game since the first game back in the dome! we proved that we belong, by domination, against tom and the patriots.

that game is 2nd only to the first game back in the dome, imo.

2nd best game this year, the miami game for sure. 3rd best? the skins game! that play by meachem is our best of the year, fo sho!

I gotta agree with you Canton. We were at that game and I was having to take crap from an aggravating fin fan the whole first half but he seem to disappear after the Sharper int return. It was great watching that comeback in person.

I'm the black sheep on this one, but I voted for the win in Philly. It was surely our biggest road test of the year in a hostile environment. We went toe-to-toe with the Eagles in the first half. Then in the second half we created turnovers and took full advantage of Philly's mistakes and kept the pedal to the metal all the way through. It was a sign of great things to come for the rest of the season.

People didn't give us much cred for this win b/c McNabb wasn't playing, but I thought Kevin Kolb played outstanding except for maybe 2 bad throws including the interception.

Ultimately I decided to vote for this one, because the Giants and Pats routs were similar to me. Tough to vote this one ahead of the Miami Miracle, but I didn't get to watch the Fins game at all (just last 3 minutes of game on Sirius).

For me personally it was the Redskins game simply because I was there and it was so exciting going into o.t. There were some great plays in that game.

Had I not been there it would most likely be the Pats whoopin.

I liked the Miami game. Very exciting and fun beating them. Plus we had a good Miami poster here who was fun to swap stories with.

BTW, how are you posting iceshack? Aren't your Internet lines all frozen? :mrgreen:

Am I the only one who doesn't have the Redskins game as a choice, but I do have Atlanta on there 3 times? I don't remember beating them thrice, but man, that woulda been nice!

I was there and picked that game also.
I remember walking out still trying to figure out if/how we had won. "Same ol' Saints" would have rolled over, but we kept playing, and even covered the spread.

Nice thread. It is good to put some focus back on all the good of this season and not just the bad end to the regular season.

1. For me, the Pats game was it. The Patriots and the Colts are the NFL gold standard for 2000's and the Saints just absolutely destroyed Brady & Co. on MNF while in the midst of a historic unbeaten start to the season. Definitely the game of the year for the Saints.

My next choices, in order:
2. Miami comeback. This really showed that the team had a never-die attitude.
3. DC Overtime win. Sure DC is weak this year, but this game had so many crazy plays it is definitely memorable. That interception, strip, fumble, TD at the end of the first half was one of plays of the year in the NFL. Then the missed FG that would have iced it for the Skins, and OT all in one game. Amazing.
4. Week 8 Falcons MNF: Very exciting, down-to-the wire game against the Saints biggest rival.

I voted Pats, but since they are really the team of the decade of the 2000's, that game was more of a franchise best beating them on MNF.

Miami will go down as a game that the Saints redefined comebacks. I try to only remember the "best" of things so the Pats game is my choice.
