What's the deal with the media?
I often wonder about the logic of certain sports writers and analysts and would like to know;
Why is it that because Drew Brees ha not played a game for a while, it could be an issue? Believe it or not, he hadn't played for around 8 months before the first game of this season and he did ok. Why is it an issue that we are on a three game losing skid? As Drew Brees has said, your record only guarantees you a playoff (playoffs! PLAYOFFS!) or a bye or a certain seeding. It does not say you will eventually win the Superbowl (Just ask any Pats fan if you can still find any) So really, now the regular season record means nothing (just ask any Pats fan if you can still find any) Why is momentum and issue? It only seems like momentum is a good thing until you hit a wall in which case it would probably have been best if you weren't moving. You will only know whether resting/starting players was the right thing to do until it goes wrong. In other words, no-one really knows. All that said, full respect to the Cardinals and I hope people don't look at the last game and think it will be easy for our offense because of what happened with Green Bay (Green and Yellow, cheese-heads, not Green and Gold) I would love it if we jumped into a 48 point lead at half time but mainly because, if we got involved in a game like Sunday's, my heart could not take it. (Actually, it could, I am just being dramatic) |
