Beanie Wells' success doesn't surprise New Orleans Saints

Beanie wells was almost ours??

Arizona running back Beanie Wells' success doesn't surprise New Orleans Saints | New Orleans Saints Central - - NOLA.com

"The Arizona Cardinals picked the 6-foot-1, 228-pound power runner with the 31st pick in the draft after the Saints tried in vain to trade up and draft him earlier in the first round.

The Saints spent a few hours working the phones that day, coming close to a deal with the New England Patriots. Ultimately, though, they felt the price tag was too high."

Yeah I'm glad we didn't though. We probably wouldn't have had the picks to trade up for a punter if it would have gone down. Also, I didn't want to see Beanie boy in a B&G #26. ;)

also says these roster moves were made

ROSTER MOVES: The Saints added two players to their practice squad, cornerback Glenn Sharpe and offensive lineman Na'Shan Goddard. Sharpe had been with Atlanta's practice squad, and Goodard had been on Seattle's practice squad. The Saints released cornerback Darrick Brown from their practice squad and had an open spot to fill.
