Re: Pierre Thomas Pain-Free Ready To Go!
Yeah they just said on NFL network that he was pain free and ready to go...HELL YEAH!!!...P.T will run wild

Re: Pierre Thomas Pain-Free Ready To Go!
I just hope this is true. The Saints really need PT to come up big in this post season. PT is the best running back the Saints have, and can really use one of those 25 carry performances right about now. Saints need a big time performance from the running game if there is any hope of beating Arizona. There is no way the Saints can leave Warner on the field and expect to win.

The only problem with a 25-carry performance is that it would have to be all of the runningbacks getting involved. The only individual that had over 20 carries in a game all season was Mike Bell in Week 1. Since then, no RB on the team has had more than 19 carries in a game. Even if Pierre is feeling no pain right now, I wouldn't rush him into carrying the load. He may feel some discomfort after a few hits. Mix it up like the beginning of the season when he, Bush, and Bell were all in the backfield together and keep fresh legs in there. |
Re: Pierre Thomas Pain-Free Ready To Go!
True, keep them fresh and rotated. The main reason I believe PT has to carry the load is the performances of the other running backs has been pretty pathetic lately. I guess with a good rotation in order all will work out fine. I know overall there is no way anyone should complain about a combined 2100 yards rushing, but the Saints still have issues at RB that needs to be addressed after this season is over. When all three are healthy it's a very nice rotation, only problem is always someone injured or not playing well. Look at Bell for instance, he really fell of the charts as the season progressed. As for Bush and Thomas, often hurt. No clue at this point... Hopefully, the three headed monster will stick around long enough to win it all.

If, and that's a big IF, Pierre can stay on the field and get 15 touches in the game Saturday and 65+ yards, that means the Saints are probably in control of the game....which means the Saints will probably win. |
Re: Pierre Thomas Pain-Free Ready To Go!
Yeah each one has been nicked up at one time or another..i really would like a workhorse back that can stay healthy all season..I like Toby Gerhardt..i think he will be a beast in the NFL..but since were pickin 32 we wont land him..

Re: Pierre Thomas Pain-Free Ready To Go!
"pain free"??
I doubt it. PT is too important to not have him suited up, on the sideline and ready to go BUT i don't expect him to have many touches. |

Re: Pierre Thomas Pain-Free Ready To Go!
I highly doubt pain will be an issue for PT come saturday. I hope Bush is fully healthy, he has had som really nice gains the last games, he's been hitting the holes and making good cuts.

This is fantastic! Love me some P.T.!

Re: Pierre Thomas Pain-Free Ready To Go!
A run-heavy strategy (where the run is successful and we are scoring TDs) would be the best possible move IMO. Time of possession becomes ours, makes the Cards feel like they have to hurry to score, tires their defense out and keeps our defense fresh.
I'm hoping that's what I see from my Saints. I know there are some who want to get out to an early lead and play with it. The game is 4 quarters long, no need to hurry so long as we score every time we touch the ball. Run it. Hammer their D, they're already tired and sore from last week. Spend a lot of time, and still score. That will win this game more surely than anything I can think of right now. |
Re: Pierre Thomas Pain-Free Ready To Go!
cant wait to se him play!
|
Re: Pierre Thomas Pain-Free Ready To Go!
Can't wait to see PT Play, Miss him badly
|
Re: Pierre Thomas Pain-Free Ready To Go!
Great! Another weapon primed and ready. I can see Bell and Bush getting the first carries anyway. That will be a sort of psychological play with the Cards thinking "is he or isn't he fit". Then ......

Per Jeff duncan, here's a quote from PT, Pierre Thomas: "I don't have any worries right now. I'm not looking to get hit. I'm looking to hit somebody

Broken ribs are not as bad as it sounds like. Yes, they're painful but I'm telling you since he didn't puncture a lung then he should be healed by now. I believe that PT is going to suck it up and deal with it. I fully expect him to have a great game. Tape him up and throw him back in.The O line has actually been better at run blocking this year when we have all of our starters in.

SO STOKED! Our team is BACK and healthy!!!! COME ON BOYS!!!!

Re: Pierre Thomas Pain-Free Ready To Go!
Not to be the wet blanket here, but let's be real. You don't go from broken ribs to 'ready to play' in two weeks. I think he's high on pain killers.
Expect Bell and Bush to run 80% of the plays from scrimmage. |
Re: Pierre Thomas Pain-Free Ready To Go!
Oh yeah !!! Great news

I still think that Bush will be key during the playoffs, but great news about PT. More weapons.
