I remember being a kid growing up in Gulfport (about 50 years ago) and having someone come to my front door, which was usually open with the screen door closed. Someone would knock on the screen door and I would answer, "Who dat?"...and they would say, "Who dat?". I would say, "Who dat?", and again, they would say, "Who dat?". Finally I would say, "Who dat say who dat when I say who dat!"
