Saints WR Adrian Arrington promoted to active roster
As expected, the Saints filled their open roster spot with receiver Adrian Arrington, who has spent the entire season on the practice squad. They signed former LSU defensive tackle Marlon Favorite to the practice squad to replace Arrington.
The Saints needed another healthy body at receiver because of the uncertain status of Robert Meachem's ankle injury. We'll get our first update on Meachem's health this afternoon. Arrington (6-3, 192) has been with the Saints for two years since being drafted in the seventh round out of Michigan last year but he's never been on the active roster. He spent his rookie season in injured reserve. Favorite (6-1, 317) has been bouncing around the league in his rookie season. He originally signed as an undrafted free agent with Carolina, then spent time on the practice squads in St. Louis, Kansas City and Seattle during the year. Re: Arrington promoted confirmed
good thing about this is, if arrington does get to play and knows the playbook well, the vikings have not watched any game film on him, we just have more and more talent getting up from the benches to fill in. If he sees extensive time, don't be suprised for sean to call his name a couple of plays

Re: Arrington promoted confirmed
I've been wanting to see what AA has to offer since the Saints drafted him. I've thought that he could be one more weapon to make the Saints even more dangerous. He may see some time on the field, or he may not. However, I'm nervous about it, though. I don't think the NFCC game is the best way to experiment with a receiver who hasn't even seen the field in his first two seasons. Even with Meachem's availability in question, the Saints still have Lance Moore. He could possibly step up and shine like he did last year in the slot. Having said that, I'm not going to question any move that Sean Payton makes, because he always has a plan.

Re: Arrington promoted confirmed
is he a.arrington a blazer or more like colston. i can't remember. whats the status of moore. i really think moore is due a huge game. we've been kinda hiding him out a little. i know he's been hurt but he's ready now. were just so loaded with talent. and they have rice and shaniscoe wow i'm scared.
farve made rice he was mediocre before farve got there. if we took r. moss out of a game he should pose little problem to us. |

Meahcem stretches the field like no other - better than Devery. IF Arrington plays, he'll probably used for exactly that. |
