Adrian Peterson
Last year against us
21 Attempts for 32 yards I think our D is better this time around ..i aint worried about A.P.. |
Re: Adrian Peterson
I am concerned about AP despite last years outcome. If AP gets a march, that bolsters Favre (ˈfɑrv).
|
Re: Adrian Peterson
you really can't compare last year. there was no passing game. AP was all they had really. Favre, Rice, and Harvin have opened it up. AP has hit a lul not because of him but because the Vikes have fell in love with Farve and the passing game.
I'd look for them to run hard early to try and set us up for lots of play sctions and swings to Chestor Taylor. |

Re: Adrian Peterson
Honestly we are a better D yes, but not better at the run. Every team that committed to running, ran all over us. And most did not have top backs like AP. We masked that by getting ahead offensively and putting teams in must pass situations. The cards are not a running team. there line can't run-block like a MIA or DAL. MIN will be a lot like DAL. They will power run enough to open up the pass game. Will Smith was dead on when he said we have to stop the run early, then get to Farve.

Re: Adrian Peterson
For the record. There's enough talent on the field for our guys to shut down AP. They just have play very smart come Sunday. Make proper reads and for the love of God, TACKLE!!! AP takes hits and keeps it moving. Gotta wrap that guy up.
|
Re: Adrian Peterson
Yes TACKLE!!! like last week .hold em up till help comes..
|
Re: Adrian Peterson
I have a fear Sharper is going to get trucked once during the game. He tries to come up on run plays and make hits. but honestly he's not all that good at it. He's wiffed a few times and bounced off guys other times. I hope he's smart with AP and tackles. Leave the hard hitting to Harper. But in the open field everyone better be tackling.

Re: Adrian Peterson
Im sure G.W has them practicing swatting that ball at practice..Stand him up and strip him..lol...then his confidence flys out the window..like sharper to the endzone!!!

Re: Adrian Peterson
i think porter and greer will hande the 1 on 1 situations ..then we stuff the run ..get ahead and blitz the bejeepers out of them
favre is due for a multiple INT game and so is our defence |
Re: Adrian Peterson
The reason Favre is having such a great year is teams are playing the run in all but 3rd and long situations. Stacking the box and run blitzing. Holding their lanes with few stunts. They are afraid to leave a little hole he can squirt through. The down side is when All Day (AD) is out teams back off and have been burned by Taylor and recently Harvin in the backfield.
The biggest hope for the Saints is to get a big lead early and start to force the Vikes to abandon the running game. Otherwise, even if AD is get only 3 to 4 yds a carry they will stay with him, because he can always break one or at least make it 3rd and 5. |
Re: Adrian Peterson
It's a fumble, fumble-ia, the fumble by the APenator!! :-)
|
Re: Adrian Peterson
To say that I wasn't worried about AP would be a lie!!! I am more worried about him then Brent Farvra!!! Containing AP will be one of the main keys to winning this game IMHO. That and their D line. That being said...I like our chances Muhahahahaha!!!!:bartinator:
