Prince releases new Vikings Theme Fight song..... lol

Robyne Robinson from Fox 9 News was teasing us all afternoon with hints about a new Prince song that she planned to debut on tonight's news, written in honor of the Vikings game on Sunday. Like many people, I was a excited to hear what Prince had come up with, but as soon as the new song, "Purple and Gold," started to play, I couldn't help but giggle. I mean, really? Honestly, there's very little about the track that resembles the work of Prince. It sounds like a female is singing lead, and the cheesy harmonies resemble a cross between an uninspired church hymn and the theme song to a children's cartoon.

Why didn't he just reuse "Purple Rain"? Im not a Vikes fan but that would have been awesome to have that song presented by Prince himself as the official Vikings song.. (not fight song but just a song)...

I can't even imagine prince saying or writing anything that would get me hyped up for a football game, I saw him at the game with his Permed hair tied up looking like a Paula Abdul/Michael Jackson.. i just can't imagine a team even accepting a fight song from him and making it official.

"Yikes the Vikes" strike yet again. The song fights fits that stupid purple dinosaur that the Vikes have as a mascot. I guess the rights For "I love you, You love me" cost to much.

I hope the Vikes are as bad as that song. They should play it in their locker room while they are getting dressed.

We should play it for them NON-Stop from the moment they get off the bus & the entire time in the locker room.

Heck I bet we could get it pumped into their hotel rooms as well!!!!
