Article:Brees Proud of Saints Bond
Drew Brees hopes the bond between the New Orleans Saints and their supporters can help drive the team to their first ever Super Bowl by beating the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday.
Brees joined the Saints as a free agent five years ago and he along with coach Sean Payton have helped turn around the fortunes of the struggling black and golds. The gun-slinging quarterback joined the Saints just six months after hurricane Katrina devastated the city, but he happily turned down a better prospect on paper with Miami to try and help the city and the team find its feet again. He is such an inspiration to Saints fans everywhere. I'm glad he picked New Orleans. I don't wanna even think where the team would be without him.
