Vikings and Saints in StarCaps Bowl


The NFC title game Sunday perhaps also could be called the "StarCaps Bowl."

The two teams that benefited from the NFL's inability to suspend players in the StarCaps case, the Minnesota Vikings and New Orleans Saints, are the participants in the NFC championship game.

The league attempted to impose four-game suspensions last year on players for testing positive for a banned diuretic, bumetanide, contained in the weight-loss product StarCaps. Two Vikings players, defensive tackles Kevin Williams and Pat Williams, and the NFL Players Association filed lawsuits challenging the suspensions
